Flimsy but I had no choice as my home depot only had this one in stock. I had bought the QEP model for $8 less which was much sturdier - but it was filthy and the ruler was missing (why not check stuff that has been brought back before replacing it on the shelf?) so I returned it as was. Not sure how the Rubi will handle my 19" floor tiles as it was bending just with the 12 inch wall tiles.

Decent review and critic
Pros:
-The main selling point of this one is price, its only $44 bucks. Will cut up to 20 inch tiles, tried this first hand.
-Will cut 3/8" porcelain floor tiles.
-Straight cuts
Cons and Critics:
-Rails tend to bow at center, with some custom modifications and voiding the warranty you can replace the rails with some more sturdy material, ie. solid steel rails instead of the hollow ones they give, I believe home depot sells these too :)
-Made 10 perfect cuts through 3/8" porcelain floor tiles, though perfect cuts, ONLY 10. I ended up exchanging for a new one and returning after I finished the project. *Major critic here: the cutting tip though great lacks durability, the blade axial broke off after 10 cuts.
For the manufacturer, you have 2 options to fix this"
1) Contact the engineers and have the wheel axial redesigned and tell them to pay attention to the Young's Modulus of the material.
-or-
2) Ship with a package of cutting tips, this should also be more profitable as you could also market cutting tips.

Works with glass tile
I don't know why this product has so many bad reviews. I just did my first backsplash project using glass tile and this product worked great. Instructions are pretty straight forward, if you have issues just watch the video on it. All you have to do is place your tile and flush it against the red bumper. With your one hand, lift up the scoring pin and use your other hand to loosen or tighten the handle ( the handle screws in and out so you can adjust the scoring pin-righty tighty, lefty loosey). with slight pressure, score the pin across the tile. Once that's done, untighten the pin out of the way, position the snapper piece(the winged metal) at the center tile then quickly push down on the handle to snap it. You might need to score it a few times if it doesn't snap. This only does straight lines. I Have not done porcelain or ceramic but worked great with glass tile. Hope this helped. Also, the price is great. Would recommend for DIYers, not for professionals who do jobs on the regular.

Though it scored and cut tile easily, on my tile it marred the surface about 1/8 " wide on both sides of the score, removing all of the finish and exposing white underneath. Along edges of the room, was ok, but where cuts were made at entry, not the clean look I wanted. Fortunately I was able to find & borrow a tile saw to finish the room.

The pin/axle for the cutter wheel kept of falling out, which means the cutter wheel kept falling off. I cracked/ruined about 30 bucks in tile and ended up returning the thing. Would never buy again.

I would recommend this product only to be used on ceramic. this product is not strong or sharp enough to cut porcelain.

Does its job well
This tool does exactly what it is supposed to do, and does it quite well for a $44 tool. Once again a perfectly acceptable tool at a perfectly acceptable price point gets tainted by bad reviews from people who have no clue what they are doing. I think there should be some type of qualifier other than "watched 6 hours of DIY TV" before you are allowed to write reviews for products that take some mechanical aptitude to properly use.
You NEVER, NEVER score any type of glass product more than once with a carbide cutter. This only destroys the cutting wheel and makes subsequent cuts virtually impossible to break cleanly!!! So, maybe, just maybe, it's not the faults of the tool! And for those guys who said the "rods have too much flex" to properly break the tile, apparently you are attempting to break the tile in the middle rather than on the end. If you keep your cutter handle nearer to the support post (all the way forward) then the tile breaks easily and perfectly every time.
