Recommended for kitchen backsplashes, showers, accent walls, tub surrounds and vanities, penetrating sealers recommended before grouting. Recommend white polymer-modified thinset and sanded grout for best installation results.

I needed to match some mosaic travertine tiles purchased many years ago, and this was the closest color match I could find. I located this tile at my local HD, but had to go to another store to get the quantity I needed for my shower enclosure. The first caveat is to make sure YOU, and only YOU inspect every pack carefully before buying. The packs of two tiles are stretched wrapped, which holds them together tightly giving the appearance that there are no cracks, however, as many as 20% of what I received literally fell apart as soon as the plastic was removed. There was some significant color variations in this tile, but if you mix them up, it's not a major problem. While the tile cut easily using a wet saw, it is extremely fragile. I've made detailed cuts only to have a corner snap off when I picked it up. The back of the tile is very porous and reminds me of coral, and, in my opinion, is the main reason that it is so fragile. Also, keep in mind that this tile is made in China.

The tiles look great but are very fragile. I...The tiles look great but are very fragile. I was careful, but still broke many tiles. Several of the tiles were broken even before I unwrapped them. I made 5 trips to HD to rebuy and return the tiles. My local HD doesn't carry a large supply of these and the ones they did carry were all broken or chipped. Had to go 40 miles to get a few good tiles. I cannot recommend them because of the breakage. You will need to buy at least 20% more than you plan.

Color radically different. I had the same experience as another commenter. The tile wasn't in m...Color radically different. I had the same experience as another commenter. The tile wasn't in my store but I ordered samples online, and they were the same light color as in the pictures. My contractor ordered the tiles online and installed them and they are much, much darker and grainier than the samples. How can you not rely on samples to accurately represent the product?

The product in the stores is a very light color travertine which my customer wanted, however the ...The product in the stores is a very light color travertine which my customer wanted, however the stores did not carry enough so I placed an online order and this is an extremely huge color difference. I understand dye lots and the variation of color but this is not only drastically different it is very grainy and looks like wood. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!

Many chipped, written on (does not come off!), and unfinished. Be aware finish is uneven, some parts of each tile are shiny, some not. Enhancing high-gloss sealer solved this. Easy to cut and polish, end result looks nice.
