Tunnels in carpet
We had our carpet and eco-friendly Nike pad installed about 3.5 years ago. About 8 months ago I noticed a lifting in the carpet in our closet. At first I thought it looked like a rodent tunneled through it, then I decided it must need re-stretching. The carpet is out of installation warranty so my hands were tied. Over the last couple of months there has been tunneling on both sides of the bed, as seen in uploaded picture and it's now starting in front of the bed. It is also beginning in our office. We are retired and there is only two of us. We are probably going to have to replace all three rooms eventually with new padding and carpet. Needless to say that is an expense for retired people. I write out of frustration, and now that I see that others have had issue with the Nike product, I think perhaps it's time for Home Depot to address this. Perhaps the manufacturer needs to have a recall. I hope Home Depot can do something about this issue. In the meantime, we don't recommend the purchase of this product.

Bought this for a large area rug (17.5 x 11) it seems to have compressed quickly and fall apart i...Bought this for a large area rug (17.5 x 11) it seems to have compressed quickly and fall apart in about 6 year. Since it was under an area rug I was able to look at it over time and was not pleased with how quickly the vapor barrier separated from the body of the pad. Would skip this and get a felt pad for an area rug of a different foam for wall to wall.

Lumpy and NoisyI'm heading to HD right now to talk about my recent installation. The Nike padding is lumpy feeling. In one spot in a traffic area, there is a hard lump which feels like a rock under a shoe. The installer came back, pulled up the carpet, and showed me the firm, dime sized, full thickness piece he removed, which was hard as a rock. Much to my surprise, there is still a lump. Not sure if he removed a different lump or what. Also, in a prominent living room spot is a place which croaks like a frog. I gave it a week hoping it would resolve but it's still very loud. I can squeak it 10 times and there's no change in the sound. There are smaller squeak spots elsewhere. Overall, it feels uneven and slightly lumpy. I'm not very happy with it...maybe I got a bad roll(?)

Ripped offI am devasted, i purchased expensive carpet from home depot and had originally selected the upgraded pad, the sales rep at home depot recommended the nike pad for my carpet. After one year the pad has flattened and is lumpy and my very expensive carpet is wearing down and feels like there is no padding. I have no kids, no pets and do not wear shoes on the carpet. The nike representative is trying to convince home depot its the carpet, its clearly this horrible pad, very disappointed home depot sold this product to long time customer.

Plastic Pieces embedded in padSince our carpet was installed a few months ago, we noticed various spots where it felt like something hard was under the carpet. Pulled up carpet to see that there was firm-plastic like pieces in the pad. Called HD to see if anything could be done, and they said no-that that is how it is made since it is made out of recycled materials and that all of their eco-recycled pads can be the same way. Apparently they use any part of the shoe. Don't know who would want to have plastic in something that is supposed to be soft and add cushion. Would not recommend.
