I bought these for a landscaping project. They worked well to protect my knees and allowed me to plant and dig on the ground. The design and construction of this product is good. The only change I would make to these would be the velcro straps. When wearing short pants, the edges of the velcro straps are uncomfortable on the skin. Other than that, these were a good purchase.

These pads would be fine with long pants but wearing them with shorts rubs the back of the knees....These pads would be fine with long pants but wearing them with shorts rubs the back of the knees. I had to take them off in less than 5 minutes of wear. I'll also be returning them.

Your knees will thank youI bought these as an afterthought while picking up supplies for my flooring project, choosing from the lower end of the price range. Definitely a great value, the cushioning did a great job of protecting my (aging) knees. I have used these many times since and consider them one of the best purchases I've made, they've held up vary well with frequent use. The description of "garden" knee pads is deceptive, I've been using them in my renovation project on concrete floors. I docked them one star because the straps can be a little uncomfortable on the back of your knees.

Could be betterI purchased these knee pads to have a cheap pair for working in the yard. For the price it was a no-brainer. However; I am a stocky guy and cannot fasten the straps around my legs to secure the knee pad. It would be nice to have some more material to be able to fasten them

Better than the expensive onesI have been through several pairs of knee pads that are just uncomfortable because of multiple straps.
These HDX single strap design knee pads are not restrictive and very easy to forget you're wearing them.
