It works good with average tile flooring and not so good with 1/2" thick commercial quory tile . The add said it holds 8 quorts of grout in reality it holds about 4 .

overall goodI really like the grout gun, but I wish it held as much as a grout bag. It works much better than a bag. It is more consistent and controllable. It will clog if you let sit unused for a couple of minutes but it is easy to clean out and refill, too start over.

Outstanding for mortar applications. I used this gun and it was a very quick application. I can't...Outstanding for mortar applications. I used this gun and it was a very quick application. I can't even imagine using a squeeze bag for all of the lines I had to do. In two full days of application I pumped more than I could have by squeezing a messy bag; it would have taken me a week. Hints- make a funnel out of a child's plastic dinner mat place setting, securing its shape with duct tape. You can scoop/dump the mortar into the tube with ease. If you have someone behind you blending the mortar between the cultured stones, the only thing slowing you down is having to reload from all of the mortar you are discharging into the cracks. I can't believe this gun is not sold in the stores. Honestly, this is the best purchase for mortar joint applications I've ever made. Cons- no instructions, anywhere.
