Ordering a product on blindfaith is tricky. I’m glad I took the chance. I’m happy I purchased this floor. It’s simply beautiful! I was torn b/tween the nickel color and cappuccino.Glad I chose Nickel. The floor totally changes the look of my house. It’s exquisite, and rich looking. Well worth it!

Amazing look, questionable durability
I installed about 1000 sf in the entire first floor of my house. First of all literally every single person who has come in for the first time said something along the lines of "O my God I love the floors". They are a very nice warm color with interesting color and pattern/knot variations, but not too much variation and thus the overall look in a large room is very cohesive. They look very striking especially if you have white trim/baseboards. There is variation in the color but again I think it blends to a nice overall look, but if you want a single consistent color this flooring will not give you that. There are also visible knots in maybe 10-20% of the boards, so if you don't want any you will need significant overage. I used them and I think they look fine and add to the look, however I did strategically use them more along edges or under furniture than in open areas. The knots do not at all give you a "rustic" look.
I would say the milling was "good". The height consistency was excellent, when 2 boards were installed next to each other there was no height difference at all, plus the micro bevels on the edges helped. The boards were also extremely straight, I think I had maybe 1-3 total crooked boards out of 50 boxes. The 2 issues I found were that pretty often at end of the grooves there was a little chip out that needed to be removed so it wouldn't clog up the joint and cause the boards to not sit tight to each other. I kept a 1/4" chisel on hand and quickly removed this if needed, not a big deal but pretty common. To be clear this was at the middle of the board thickness and in no way showed after installation. I also noticed that more commonly with the slightly redder shaded boards they were about 1/16" narrower that the rest. If you want a perfect seem between boards these would be waste, but I used most of them and just made sure a joint on the next row did not occur above these boards. I think you cant notice the difference after the install, but if you don't account for this it can cause the rows to get a little crooked. If you count this as waste it probably accounted for about 5% of the boards, if not there was very, very little waste. I would honestly say I had less than 1% waste considering I used one row's off-cut to start the next row.
My biggest concern is the long term durability, it seems like this floor is dented very easily. I had one recliner in the living room (with padded feet) and after a few weeks of people leaning back to recline and slightly moving the chair it caused several dents (although you could only see them if you could see light reflecting off them differently at certain angles) still pretty upsetting considering how much effort I put into installing them. We eventually put a rug with some non-slip pads under the chair to cover the dents. There are a few other dings in places where things were dropped, not sure how common this is to be expected with wood floors but in my opinion the durability is pretty low. Don't get me wrong this is not a major issue and I overall still recommend the floor, but if you expect a lot of abuse be aware. I don't have a dog so cant comment on that.
Overall I recommend this as it totally transformed my house from a builder's basic look to a higher end custom look.
