We just bought a sample piece of the Desert Travels, but it's a beautiful color for a modern home. We have a lot of grey's and beiges in our house (I really like the "Pottery Barn" look.) and this carpet is perfect for that style, not to mention the quality is great. Nice and soft, plush, a good length so you can't feel the mesh it's woven onto. And there are plenty of individual twists so it's nice and dense. The price per square foot is more than the budget we were aiming for, so we went back to HD and found a less expensive carpet from the Trendy Threads collection with the color called Lakeview. It's color is very similar to Desert Travels, but not quite as luxurious feeling as this Pioneer sample. Still feels like a great quality though. We will be ordering the Trendy Threads - Lakeview carpet tomorrow. Daryl from Home Depot who came to measure our rooms today was punctual and had great communication skills (he even replied to my text, which I always prefer). So far, really happy with our experiences. Stay tuned for an update. If I could afford this carpet, it really was my first choice!
