LOVE this tile! We spent several weeks and countless hours scouring local tile stores for tile just like this. We found them, but they were 3 times the cost per square foot. You can't beat this price. The color is definitely a warm gray and the subtle variations in the glazing give it a custom look. The crackle finish simply adds to the charm. We did notice that the tiles in one box were slightly larger than the others, we chose to use those in areas that needed half height tiles. The tiles do "sing" to you as they continue to crackle until installed. As suggested in other reviews, we sealed the tiles after installation, but before grouting. We used Maipei "Warm Grey" grout and it is just the right amount of contrast without being stark white. I strongly suggest opening multiple boxes and randomizing the tiles as you install them to avoid any unintended groupings of like shaded/crackled tiles. Our tiles were shipped to us and arrived very well packaged with absolutely no breakage at all. Would recommend these tiles to anyone!

Please note that I had this installed by a tile professional. He had to seal it BEFORE putting the grout on because of the "crackle" in it. If you wipe a wet cloth on it before you seal it, you will hear crackling because it needs to be sealed first. It is super easy to seal before grouting. Just wipe sealer on with a cloth. After grouting, it needs to be sealed AGAIN! It only takes a few minutes to wipe the sealer on and make sure it gets into the grout. The installer said this will prevent anything from staining the grout (like tomato sauce.) I used a grout from a tile store. I was aiming for something "slightly" darker than the tile (heard that tip from a decorator) but my grout actually came out looking a little bit lighter than the tile. I think it looks great. I am very happy with it. I looked at many tiles. Even one that was $31/SF. This was the nicest.
Paint color that goes perfect is Benjamin Moore "Nimbus" 1465 (NOT "Nimbus Gray" 2131-50, there are two Ben Moore Nimbus colors!)

My backsplash looks amazing with this subway tile! I bought a different brand from other store, b...My backsplash looks amazing with this subway tile! I bought a different brand from other store, but they came so scratched that I have to change my design. I am glad I did!
They are so well wrapped and all were perfectly condition!

We picked an extremely busy countertop called “Montclair White” Quartz...We picked an extremely busy countertop called “Montclair White” Quartz and we needed a simple backsplash and the 4”x12” dove gray tile was perfect. We matched it with a dark grout called DeLorean Gray and it complements the busy countertop perfectly.

LOVE this tile.I got a new countertop and tile installed. I used these as my backsplash which also extended up both sides of the window. My installer said they were really nice. They aren't perfectly sized from tile to tile, but they are handmade after all, so they are not perfect. Even so, my installer was so good, he did not have any problem lining them up. Like the other reviewers say, they are lighter in color than they look here online, and they also have a "crackled" appearance in person, if you look at them up close. This I love!!. The colors vary slightly, which makes them look awesome, high end, and definitely hand made. I love them. New appliances, new countertop, new backsplash. Just have to paint kitchen cabinets and kitchen will be done.
