I use this product for mosaics on recycled surfboards and find it works great with the "push in" ...
I use this product for mosaics on recycled surfboards and find it works great with the "push in" technique for strongly adhering all kinds of mixed media to the board. No grout needed. The consistency is thick and stickey for easy use with a palette knife and stays workable for an hour when mixed in small batches. It's fun to use and can be colored with powdered Cement Color also available at Home Depot. I especially like that I don't have to buy a 25-pound bag of Thinset for my projects.

Very disappointed... not good product for handling. I followed the instructions to the tee and un...Very disappointed... not good product for handling. I followed the instructions to the tee and unless you have 2-3 people and are professionals doing it, you wont have enough time to use this product before it dries out on you. The bond seems to be OK but the mix is dry, flaky and very hard to work with. Not recommended. Also is far away from being bright white... after mixed is a light gray shadow.

We had some pretty thick heave glass tile mosaic to put up and this stuff did the trick pretty we...We had some pretty thick heave glass tile mosaic to put up and this stuff did the trick pretty well. It still took two people to hold the tiles up while the spacers were put in but once we had the spacers the tiles stayed in place and on the wall great!

Disappointed. Stiff and hard to work withIn spite of the other reviews, I don't find this as nearly as good as the material I used when I ran out of this stuff! I had 16 square feet of 6" hadn-made glass tiles to lay down for a wall hanging, and started with the Custom product from HD. I ran out (though the box siad I shoudl have had enough) and since the store didn't have any more I had to switch to a product carried at another big box store across the street. Wish I'd purchased that other product first. The Custom material from HD seemed much more gritty, stiffer, and not as easily applied to tiles, harder to spread. Followed the directions to the letter, but stiffer and harder to work with in general. This was surprising because the HD stuff actually used more water per pound than the second product I used (TEC brand). The TEC was much smooth., more compliant, adn seemed to adhere better to the tiles. My next project won't doen with the Custom brand material from HD. I'll stick with the TEC product. Cheaper too.
