Hand Scraped 1/2 in. Cross-grain Plywood floors are sealed with a 7-layer aluminum oxide finish, providing protection from everyday wear. This product has achieved GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification and has been tested for more than 10,000 volatile organic compounds, including formaldehyde, to meet these standards. The tongue and groove installation is easy and economical; above grade, on grade and below grade. Hand scraped flooring is sculpted by hand to create vivid texture and unique richness of characteristics in each plank. Fantastic!
We absolutely love this flooring!We used the bubble looking moisture insulation underneath& it was so easy!The floor warmth compared to our tile in the house is much better and we are going to replace all our carpet with this flooring. Make sure you buy the saw tool to cut the door jams & fit the wood underneath them it looks much better. We painted our baseboards we were installing first and then simply touched it up after nailing it in. Less of a hassle for painting with the wood floors down. Both our toddlers are enjoying their wood floors & a simple steam mop is the easiest way to sanitize it after sweeping up the loose dirt or dust. Hope you enjoy it as much as we have for the last year!

Different from what was sold last yearWhile still a good product the item has changed from 5/8 to half inch thickness necesitating a threshold to hide the height difference from my other 3 rooms , also now a nail down not floating floor not a real improvemant in my estimation

Beautiful finish but be careful of scratchesMy builder installed the flooring without problem. However, we found a number of scratches and gouges on the floor which was not completely covered with construction paper subsequent to installation. The area that was gouged had to be replaced. Stain pencils can be used to hide small scratches. The wood is rated as very hard but the finish is not thick so can be scratched easily. Since it is engineered hardwood, it cannot be refinished. I would not recommend in a household with dogs, and care must be taken (as with any hardwood floor) to avoid bringing in rocks or sharp objects which could come in contact with the floor and scratch it. Also, the floor, while beautiful when clean, shows dust and debris very clearly against the dark surface, necessitating frequent cleaning.

Not the Best Choice FlooringI've had this in my home for 2 years now, and while the color still looks great, it really is an easy floor to damage. I make everyone take their shoes off when they come in, so typically there's only furniture (other than feet) that touch the floor. No kids, no dogs, no high heel imprints. Flooring under dining room chairs (with felt pads on the bottom of them) has half-moon impressions in it where chairs move around when people are sitting in them. The other day I dropped a hard plastic liner from the garbage can on the floor and it dented the floor in two places where you can now see lighter color through the dents. Some of this may just be "what you get" when you put down a wood floor but for the money I spent on this, I wish it was lasting longer. If you want durability, I would not recommend choosing this floor.
As a side note, I had HD install this. The installer that HD farmed this out to did a great job but I had to be the one managing the flooring materials from HD since the flooring sat at the store for 3 weeks before I had to call and find out what was happening and had to get them to schedule the installer. Lessons learned - manage your own projects, don't rely on HD, they're just too busy.

Beautiful FlooringWe have installed lots of flooring and this product was by far the easiest to install. It looks beautiful on the floor; we installed it in the TV room, a bedroom and the hallway. Most of the house is fairly dark so the honey maple color really brightened up the rooms. Love this!
