Installed great!
We bought this for our office. We had never installed a floor before, but are DIY people. We had 185 sp ft to do, installed in a day and a half! Only found 2 boards, in 7 boxes, that had slight damage to them, and were able to use them as cuts. Sounds solid when you walk on it. Once you get the hang of it, it goes quickly. Looks rich down, very happy with it.

inconsistant quality
Ordered amount of product per measurments, but due to amount of unacceptable quality pieces, had to order 3 more cases. The second shipment did not match well; not the variation in color and a lot of it was more of a matte finish where the original was quite shiny. The transition pieces did not match well and had to be reordered several times. The finished floor looks beautiful, has the variation in color we wanted and goes well with our oak cupboards without being oak. I don't know about the ease of installation since we had it installed. Overall, I would not recommend this product. Have already had issues with it chipping at the edges for no apparent reason. We never wear shoes and have felt pads on all furniture. Only 2 adults living here and has been down for less than 6 months. Should have gone with a solid wood nail down product.

Beautiful floor
This is a beautiful floor and is just what I was looking for. The color is rich and natural looking. The quality is excellent. It does come in random lengths and the person who installed it said this made it a little more difficult to install and it took longer to install than if it had been uniform lengths. Of course the random lengths is one reason the floor looks so good and so natural. I would highly recommend this flooring.

great look, easy on your feet, still married after installation!
Have done the entryway and kitchen. Everyone loves it! We love it! Easy enough to put in, take your time and make your plan about cuts. Did the kitchen in a day! Cat friendly too! WIpes clean and easy to maintain.

Easy Installation, very thin
I installed many different prefinished flooring in the last 20 years. This one was easiest to install thanks to the intuitive design feature at the short end. It is much thinner than I thought it should be, that worries me since no sub-floor is perfect. Don't forget to order your transition moldings to, as it would be hard to find one with matching colors. The shipping was right on time, easy to get updated information on phone or online.

Beautiful wood floor
The rustic hand scrape look and color is right on with our expectation. The planks come in various lengths for a more true wood floor installation look. The waste was very minimal because of the various lengths. The quality of the product right out of the box was obviously great. I'm very happy that this particular engineered plank is made of plywood and not the mdf style construction. I recommend this product if your looking for this color, texture, and quality.

Great color, hides dust well.
I've had the product for about 3 weeks now. It looks beautiful and changes our entire home. I still need to decide on baseboards, but the wood floor itself is amazing. Once we figured out how to install one or two rows, we were able to move very quickly. Be sure to use a rubber mallet to hammer down and watch and DIY videos online for the technique. The floor lays easily and any scratches or defective pieces were simply used as cut end pieces. The floor did scratch a little too easy for my liking, but we just rubbed a walnut or pecan on the scratch, and it disappeared. We feel like we live in almost an entirely new home and would definitely recommend; and I recommend the highest quality underlayment you can find as well.

Good looking product with flaws perhaps generic to these products
I put the flooring in my foyer, dinette, kitchen, and laundry room - 317 sq ft. That's 9.6 cartons at 33 sq ft/carton. I purchased 11 cartons - 10 plus one for possible unusable/bad/ugly boards.
In my case, I found 290 boards (about 26/carton). Of these 62% were about 3.5 to 4 ft, 17% were 2.5-3.5 ft, and 21% were 1-2+ ft long. I found 17% were bowed (subjective but noticeable bowing) but they were all usable. 3% were starter boards (right or left side cut flat) mostly about 2 ft.
This is described as "rustic" flooring and is wood so describing "blemishes" is very subjective. I found 7% with noticeable markings of which about 2% could be manufacturing errors (in my opinion). All were still useable by judicious use (starter boards usually). I put planks that seemed to me to not be "perfect" in a closet, pantry, hidden areas, and laundry (the floor still looked acceptable to me).
I had 15 3-4 ft good boards remaining plus shorter pieces that could be starter boards - about 1/2+ of a carton. The rest is scrap from fitting the boards (I'm sure a professional would have less).
I knew that water is the bane of wood floors but I still like the look of wood. If you spill water on this floor, wipe it up as soon as possible. You will probably get wrinkling of the surface after 15-30 min and sometimes less if on the edge (see pic). It is not repairable - the board has to be replaced (I tested with water damaging scrap and repairing them and did not get an acceptable fix). If you require water resistance, these type products are probably not suitable (not just this one).
Small scratches can be easily fixed with a stain tube of some sort. Hickory is harder than many other woods but it will still dent if you drop things on it (think of it as being "distressed").
My impression is that the finish on these boards may not be as durable as a 55 year warranty implies (I'll let you know in 55 years!). You should get samples of floors you are considering and soak them in water if water could be a problem in your area and drop things on them.
Installing the floor is not easy esp if you have to do many unusual cuts and get measurements very close but probably a lot easier than a nailed or glued floor. The bowed boards were a bit harder to install but fit well once you get the knack of putting them in.
Even being off a 1/16 inch to meet an adjacent area to click/lock (as I did with a peninsula) will cause you a lot of grief but at worst requiring you to take up part of the floor and start again (a lot easier than with nails or glued floors). Thankfully, in my case, a bit of harder tapping on one side got the boards to fit.
As another reviewer said, it is essential to tap each and every board in place (after it is properly fitted). They fit much better and lay flatter. I had no problems in that respect. But be sure to use the spacer blocks since all those taps could throw off your measurements.
I have not noticed any noise I can attribute to the floor. In fact, some squeaks I couldn't get rid of completely in the subfloor seem quieter with the floor installed.
For me the final look is good (see pic) and what I wanted and most of the boards were usable. I will also be doing the family room and use the excess boards from this project.
