This durable prefinished engineered real wood floor will enhance the value of your home. The flooring is crafted of five layers of solid wood permanently bonded together in a cross-ply design. No HDF or other fiber boards are utilized. The stability of this construction provides superior strength, humidity resistance and multiple installation locations (suitable for upper floors, ground floors and below grade). The aluminum oxide finish provides more abrasion resistance than ordinary urethane finishes. Our flooring is proudly crafted in Tennessee from responsibly harvested wood. I have no problem with the construction and appearance of this flooring product. It looks great and installs well. What is a real problem is the lack of support products, there are literally NO bull nose stair pieces, threshold pieces, T-pieces, etc. The company that supplies this to HD uses only a few finishes on these boards and then labels them as being the finish for this and other finishes, so you are faced with dark hickory flooring that is complimented with medium oak boards on the extra boards needed to finish the install. I suffered greatly by first sending back the "wrong boards" three times and getting the same "wrong boards" mailed back to me; I gave up on getting the right boards and then looked for a month to find some trim boards from a different manufacturer that sort of matched this board. Too bad, it is a great looking hardwood floor that is sold by a crappy company that doesn't support it, and worst falsely advertises through fake pictures that it DOES provide auxiliary boards finished as hickory that will allow them to install properly. DO NOT BUY THIS BOARD IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SUFFER AS I DID AND END UP WITH A SUB-PAR FLOOR INSTALL.

We installed in our living and dining rooms with no issues and love the look and quality of the product., color was right on as well. Our 20lb and 60lb dogs have yet to mark it at all. Very happy with the purchase

Love my floorThis was our first time putting down engineered flooring. We used the click which was really easy to install. We floated our flooring and did not glue or nail because my husband says I redecorate way to often to make anything permanent :) I completely opened all boxes after letting the wood acclimate to our room for a few days and picked boards from random boxes to mix just in case coloring was different like recommended. Lots of contrast in wood, both in grain and coloring. It was a great team project. I picked the boards and layed them out and the hubby installed them. There were quite a few damaged boards. Some corners were completely broken off and a few boards were splintered around the surface. Make sure to purchase extra and pay attention to what you are installing. You don't want socks snagging on splinters. All in all it came out beautiful and I am looking forward to my next project. I would recommend this flooring.

It was so nice, and looked so good, and the quality was great I then ordered enough do the rest of the house. Unfortunately the second batch was nothing like the first ( see pics). I realize that production runs can be different but this was a little over the top. Luckily the 2 different floors werent it the same order! Its still a nice floor if you like hickory, just make sure you order enough to do the job, because these is no telling what the second order will be like and probably wont match.

Pleased with the resultsWe were looking for an affordable high quality alternative to engineered maple flooring. After visiting a lot of show rooms and looking at a lot of samples we selected Heritage Mill Vintage Hickory for glue down installation over concrete. The finish passed our durability test which consisted of placing a sample on the floor with a kitchen chair on top and sitting in the chair and moving it back and forth over the sample. There were no noticeable scuffs or indents made on the sample. There were only minor issues with the tongue and grooves on the flooring (it appeared as one box of the flooring had been dropped on its corner damaging the tongues on several pieces), very few warped boards and minimal waste. The flooring is a good value and if you want a lighter floor and don't want to pay the extra $2 per square for for maple this is an excellent alternative.

We installed this engineered hardwood in our living room and dining room to replace some worn out...We installed this engineered hardwood in our living room and dining room to replace some worn out 9 year old carpet. Right out of the box, can tell that you are working with a quality product. The 5 ply engineered layers are well executed and provide a durable piece of hardwood, and the top wear layer is indeed 2 mm. We had some pieces that had some extraneous color variations and grain, but we either put those at the corners of the room, or set them aside.
Overall, installation went smoothly. The first couple of rows were slow going, but once you have the base figured out, the process speeds up. We rented an 18 gu. flooring stapler for the job - I will say that setting the air pressure on the compressor is critical to getting a clean staple without breaking the tongue. Too much air, and the tongue will fracture. Interlocking the pieces was fairly easy, just make sure you have a good tapping block (I recommend a sample piece of 3/4 inch hardwood. They run about 25 cents).
The first couple of pieces we cut with the miter saw had some chips at the corners, so we ended up applying a piece of painters tape to the area of the cut, then making your cut mark. This keeps the pieces of splintering.
The boxes say random length, but I wish there were a couple more shorter pieces mixed in with the bunch. One box we received had all full length pieces, so make sure you mix and match between boxes, otherwise you'll end up having to make more cuts than you need. Once finished, any imperfections or scratches can be fixed with a color matched stain pen.
In summary, is this product perfect? No. There are some flaws, and you will get pieces with variation (I mean it's wood, so expect that). But if you take your time, plan out the room, and pay attention to what pieces go where, you'll be more that happy with the finished product. We love the color and graining of the hickory, so I would recommend this to someone who is looking for a durable, relatively easy to install flooring that is a little cheaper than a comparable 3/4 inch solid hardwood, yet still provides a high quality finish.
