Not the same appearance in person
When these arrived, I pulled the stack out of the first package and thought the top tile was flipped over to a side that appeared exactly like cardboard (in color and uniform texture). I was wrong; it was the tile's surface, and about a third of the tiles had this same bland, featureless appearance. The rest of the tiles that did have natural features were much more bland in color and assortment than the image on the website shows. Mostly tans with a few mauve streaks here and there. Considering these are natural and maybe that was a "batch" issue, I opened the second package hoping to find more variation. Nope. Exact same bland assortment. Having purchased these in a black slate look for a stove back splash (it came out beautifully and I couldn't be more pleased with that set); I can tell you that they are incredibly easy to install with a great adhesive backing (don't press down until you have them fully situated on your wall because they can/will get damaged if you try to move them when fully affixed). I had really high hopes that these sets were going to be what the slate set where, plus some interesting colors and patterns. I was wrong and disappointed in that aspect. I would recommend checking these out in person or shoring up your own expectations if you have been lured in by the product photo to do an online purchase.
