I think you could build a house with this stuff. If you're looking for a robust solution to keep those area rugs and carpets from sliding around look no further. That rug or carpet is there to stay for all eternity. That's the plus side. There are some things to consider though: 1) Good luck ever having to remove the rug once it's down. This is like some sort of military-grade adhesive. 2) Don't let the adhesive side of the tape accidentally come in contact with itself. There is no pulling it apart once it sticks to itself. 3) Work in small sections. Measure carefully. Don't try to do a long section unless you have another set of hands to help you. Yes... it's that sticky. 4) Because it's so sticky, I shudder to think what it might do to the surface underneath. Some of these carpet tapes will stain whatever is under the rug (like another carpet). I suspect that might be true with this product too. 5) You might find that cutting the tape with a household scissors will leave that rubbery adhesive residue on your scissors. Difficult to clean off. Remember, it's only 15 feet. It goes fast. Buy two boxes.

Double-sided carpet tapeI have to say that this product excells beyond what is described for its use. I needed to be sure that my area carpet and small rugs wouldn't move on the wall to wall carpeting. Since I am disabled and walking in certain circumstances can be difficult, I needed to resolve this issue. I was amazed at the strength of the product to hold the backing material inplace. Once it is on, you won't get it off and that is fantastic. I don't have to worry about the non-skid backing material separating fromthe carpets. It is there for good!! Thanks for the product, great shipment and customer service.

After fighting with other carpet tapes & finding them to be useless for my purpose, I discovered many years go that Robert's Carpet Tape is - without any reservations- the very best at holding area rugs securely in place. I used this tape for more than 12 years in Orlando, Florida, and now 3 yrs. in Colorado.
When removing the area rug, it may be a necessary to remove the adhesive residue from the floor. And just as frequently, it comes up without any residue to be cleaned.
Further, removing the tape residue/adhesive from laminate flooring can be done fairly easily with a small bit of Goo Gone, finishing with window cleaner to remove the Goo Gone.
The tape DOES NOT hold an area rug upon another carpet; I seriously doubt that any tape will do this job.
Only problem with Robert's Carpet Take is FINDING a supplier here in Pueblo, CO.

Worked Very Well!I recently purchased some inexpensive indoor outdoor remnants for an inexpensive floor covering for my basement--we use our basement to workout in. The remnants weren't really heavy enough to stay in place when we walked on them so I used this tape to hold each remnant together. This tape is two-sided but I chose just to 'stick' the remnants together--not 'stick' them to the floor. The tape worked perfectly and now the remnants don't move around when walked on. Suited our needs very well and inexpensively!

Only use for permanent solution!!Very good for its intended purpose, however, if you every decide you want to remove it and either clean or replace the carpet, it is incredibly difficult to remove!! I used it to tape stair treads down and then decided a couple of years later to replace the treads with a better quality and now am so regretting using this product....

Great productThis is very easy to install and holds my outdoor rug down in heavy wind outside on the patio. I have used carpet tape before and it was always a pain to use, but this product is wonderful.

Another UseI used this tape on two sets of floor length drapes that needed to be shortened. Put the tape on the back, then folded under the bottom two inches. Be careful with this tape.....once it is on, you are not moving it.

new application for this tapeWhile this was not an intended application for this product, I found that the tape worked well to anchor a thick gel mat onto a ceramic tile floor. It can be removed without any particular damage, but holds well on gel mat corners that want to curl up.
