This kit makes the installation of interlocking floors quick and easy, virtually eliminating damage to walls, cabinets and flooring by reaching under cabinets, appliances and other low spaces easily. With this kit, you can say goodbye to pull bars, pry bars and other improper tools that can damage both the new flooring and surrounding spaces.

Works as advertised and doesn't mare laminate
The tool is well designed and didn't scratch or deform the laminate. Great for tight spots like up against the wall. The paint on the body started to chip off after moderate use, but doesn't affect the performance.

Great Tool
Home Depot ought to carry the Lam-Hammer Jr. in the store. It has made my laminate installation much easier. I had heard horror stories about the inexpensive pull bar that is sold in the stores, and decided to ante up and get the Lam-Hammer Jr. It was well worth the cost, especially considering that I am laying laminate in an entire 2-bedroom condo. It makes installing endpieces and last rows super easy.

Much better than the hook and hammer approach
The last laminate floor I installed using a mallet and the flat metal pull bar that I found at the store. This worked so much better, I wish I had it the first time. So much simpler than attempting to find the space to swing the mallet to apply enough force to get the pieces to lock. I didn't use the tapping block though. I bought the ergonomic one with the handle on top. No smashed fingers.
Keep in mind it is metal so it is not a quiet tool to use.

A must have for installing laminate flooring
Could not have finished installing flooring without it. Could use another tapping block. It can get damaged or cause damage to flooring if you're not careful. Tapping block works best on it's side instead of on end, to spread out force and lessen chance of damage.
Don't buy cheap substitues. This product works.

Don't install laminate flooring without this tool!
The lam-hammer is a must when installing laminate flooring. This hammer was more than sufficient for my 7 mm thick x 7-19/32 in wide x 50-25/32 in long planks.
