Super cute "restored" vintage bathroom!
We updated our bathroom in our 1955 home with this tile. Originally we provided the SKU # to our contractor who ordered the tile and I thought we bought the black & white tile, but lo and behold they have the same SKU # so watch out!! We would've had to wait 2 more weeks to get it switched out, so instead we decided to do a very cute black border using 1/2" black liner tile. It looks so cute and actually turned out more interesting and made our bathroom look bigger than if we'd used black and white throughout! Being in a little old house, these bathrooms are tiny! We used a light beige grout with the tile to prevent it from being TOO white but also not grid-like. We are super happy! The contractor installed them so I'm not sure about installation ease.

these tiles make the room complete and authentic!
Our home was built in 1928 so when we began our bathroom updating process we wanted to maintain the integrity of the age but still, wanted it to feel fresh and updated. These tiles fit the bill exactly! They really give the room the "wow" factor. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice of tiles. We have only just completed our bathroom project so we can't speak to durability but our research claims ceramic tiles are quite durable. Fingers crossed!

Good choice, easy to install.
I have tiled quite a bit in previous homes, but this was my first time installing a mosaic tile. I was a little nervous but it was very easy to install. Because the baseboard is wider and would be covering the edge pieces, I didn't even have to cut ANY pieces. After I grouted (make sure your thin set is applied very thinly, or else it will rise up between the tiles), there are a few places where the sheets are a little farther apart than I'd like because spacers aren't really an option with this tile, but overall it was easy to set and grout. I used the Delorean Grey grout and the design really stands out. It looks great and I am glad I chose it!

What I was looking for
After looking at several other home and tile centers I chose this tile from Home Depot because of price and good reviews. I wasn't disappointed. I did find, however, that two of the 7 boxes I ordered had a number of sheets where one end row of the tile was glued to the backing too close to the row next to it. This made it difficult to space the tile on the floor - I ended up pulling off the row of tiles and setting them individually for proper spacing. The tiles cut easily and evenly with a tile saw, but they came unglued from the backing unless dried promptly. No broken tiles from shipping. Color was as expected.

Installation can be challenging
This is beautiful tile but the installation can be challenging. The base must be flat and level. Every imperfection will show in the finished product. The alignment of each sheet should be verified to ensure accurate alignment. If one gets off line, it can easily be compounded and will be difficult to correct. Because the tiles are so small, cutting can be difficult and will require a higher quality wet tile saw. Make certain not to over apply the thin set. If the thinset squeezes up between the joints the problem is magnified because of the sheer number of joints.

First time installing floor tile and it turned out great
Tiles arrived within a few business days and I set to work with an experienced buddy providing guidance. Once the floor was properly prepped the tile laying & grouting went very smoothly. The tile itself seems to be of excellent quality and we've received several compliments.

DIY's WARNING
This tile, in and of itself, is beautiful. We have no issue there. It arrived on time and in perfect condition.
Our issue is with the grouting. If you've done tile floors before and feel confident, then you'll enjoy this job. But I DON'T RECOMMEND this as your 1st tile project. Those numerous, small and definitive grout lines can be your un-doing. If you don't do every single pass exactly the same as the one before, it shows. If you wipe away the excess with more pressure in one area than another, it shows. If the rough edge of your sponge leaves behind a slight impression, it shows. If you want a clean and precise grout line you had better be a seasoned pro. Otherwise, you're likely to have visible imperfections.
We used snow white grout, which you might think is more forgiving than the gray, but it isn't. In fact, it may be even more sensitive. We've tried a number of things to remedy this problem. In the end, it may require the help of a professional.
Proceed knowing that we are experienced DIY's with more than 10 years in our house. This is our second round of renovations. But our very first time to install tile floors. It just isn't as easy as it looks.

Perfect for our 1920s remodel!
We searched several different local tiling stores for white hexagon tile for our 1920s bathroom remodel. Few stores actually carry this tile, and the ones that do are pricey. This tile was exactly what we were looking for and was a great value for the price. We had someone install this for us, so I don't know how easy it is to install personally. We chose grey grout to highlight the pattern of the tile and also hide dirt. I am so thrilled with how it turned out, and think it looks beautiful. So glad we didn't go with the more expensive tile store pieces, as this is a wonderful quality tile for the money. In fact, our tile guy is recommending this to his clients in the future.
