The SpeedSet White 25 lb. Fortified Thin-Set Mortar is a quick-setting, polymer-modified mortar. SpeedSet is excellent for commercial use and cold temperature installations, as well as small residential jobs and repairs. Its quick-curing properties allow for grouting in as little as 2 hours and light traffic in 6 hours.

Don't buy it
I started the project with Mapei quick set mortar (sold by the other store) , but ran out late and Home Depot was the only place still open. I got a bag of Speedset and I should have just waited until the next day. This stuff does not mix very well, it's clumpy and hard to mix. I ended up having to mix some of it while putting it on the floor because it was clumping. You only have about 5-10 minutes of workable time before it dries up in the pail, with the Mapei brand you have a good 20 minutes. Once you set the tile you have about 5 mins or less to space it and adjust it before it's too hard to move, Mapei brand gives you about 20 minutes. I haven't finished yet, but the tiles seem like they will hold fine. I'm going to the other store and buying a bag of the Mapei brand to finish, because it's too much work to use this stuff. It would probably be good for a pro tile guy that can install them very quickly. Not good for the average DIY'er.

Great productA terrible DIYer shouldnt sto you from buying this product. Mix it withenough water, mix it with the right tools, and it wont be clumpy. Its a no brainer the bad review didnt mix it properly or with the right tool.
Mixing about 1 gallon,mix it where its a sloppy whip cream and you'll have about 30 minutes working time if using it for subway tiles like backsplash. Once set, maybe 5-10 minutes of adjustment time. Should be good to grout in 3 hours.
If using it for commercial floors, mix like normal and move on!
I absolutely love using this stuff. Its obviously not for every tiling job, but it's a great product I will always keep stored.
