Awesome tool
First time using an 18 gauge nailer. Well familiar with regular nailers for oak hardwood flooring but had 2000 square foot of bamboo to install and needed a smaller guage for flooring. Was skeptical but after using I am well satisfied. Only issue is swivel air hookup leaks air badly and have to unhook nailer while cutting or laying out flooring so compressor gets a break. Easy fix by changing hook up. Overall would buy again if needed!

Works like it should and doesn't jamI used this pneumatic floor nailer to install some engineered tongue and groove wood flooring in two rooms. I covered an area of around 380 sqft and used around 2,000 L-cleats and did not experience any jams. There is a tool-free quick release to clear up jams in case they happen. All the cleats went in nicely with a good hit on the bumper. The mallet has a white head to prevent markings. It also features a rubberized handle for good grip. The balance is nice and it is easy to swing. The nailer itself has good weight and balance too and also features a rubberized handle. I like the swivel air hose connector which helps prevent hose pull. A little oil goes a long way, so don’t forget to add it before each job or again during larger scale ones. The interchangeable plates are easy to install and did not leave any marks on the floor.
I like the included bag. It’s actually of decent quality and has a shoulder strap and plenty of pockets. There is a large pocket on the front (outside) with a Velcro flap to close it. There are also three mesh pockets inside: one long one for the mallet (or anything else) and two shorter ones for smaller things. Oil and a few wrenches were also included. All in all, much easier to use compared to a manual floor nailer. Hope to use this nailer for many years. The 5 year warranty is above the standard and is also nice to have.

First time user of a nailer....5 starsI am mainly a do it yourself when it comes to projects like hard wood floors. Before I tackle the big rooms I used the nailer in a small bedroom to test it out. To my surprise everything was fully assembled and ready to use out of the box. I had 3/8 thickness preenginered wood for my small area. the nailer never even jammed on me once. I did put the jam to the test and I can conclude that if you jam a nail you can quickly finish your job with no delay. I could not be any happier with my work. I can't believe how easy it was to do the job and I'm ready to take on the bigger rooms. Thanks estwing for turning s diy into a pro floor installer!!! Love the padded bag as well!

My only critique would be that it is easy to set the nailing face not quite flush on the tongue which can chip hard boards such as bamboo. For me, it just meant I had to slow down a bit and make sure the nailer was set. I installed about 600 SF with it, and by the end was moving along. Really like the carrying case, I know it's a small thing, but with different bases, etc. I imagine things get lost pretty easily.
