The VinylFix Mix2Match Repair Kit was developed as an easy customized repair solution for WPC, linoleum, vinyl, vinyl composition tile (VCT), luxury vinyl tile and plank. This kit allows you to repair many different types of damage on flooring and molding. The VinylFix Kit contains eight different pigments to allow for endless color combinations, all assisted by the included 28 color formulas and instructions customized for LVT, VCT and vinyl. The beige acrylic-based putty is designed to fill the damage with a strong bond and flex along with the floor in its changing conditions. This means that the filler will not break up or pop out of the repaired vinyl surface. The enclosed booklet includes both simplified and detailed instructions for repairing damage, as well as tips on applying an easy grain or marbling effect. Great for DIY and professionals. We repaired our vinyl floor yesterday using the VinylFix product. There was one glitch. We received the wrong product from the supplier but Home Depot quickly fixed the error and got us the right product right away.
The base color of our floor is white...whiter than on their color-matching card.I called CalFlor and they explained the process. I had to add a lot more white to the base putty (which was beige) to get it white enough. It didn't seem "putty enough" (too watery) but it seemed to work fine.
I had watched the youtube video and went about repairing cuts on our sheet vinyl flooring. When I applied the whitened putty it seemed too white but it darkened to about the right level when it dried. Applying the lacquer did not see to change the appearance and it seemed to match well with the glossiness of the rest of the floor. We did 4 repairs on the floor. We used the least visible area first to get the color to match, since it is different when it dries. Then redid the formula for the rest of the injuries.

Repair was done on several tears on a multi-colored patterned...Repair was done on several tears on a multi-colored patterned floor. This required color matching for the different areas. While the finished results were still noticeable I would assume had someone not known where the repairs were made it would take them longer to identify. For the size and location of the repairs the product worked adequately. The lacquer cleaner didn't work as well and was difficult to keep from cleaning out the area of repair. My disclaimer is I'm not a professional floor installer and would have probably used a different method however this gave acceptable results in contrast of replacing the whole flooring.

Even Better Than ExpectedI was very pleasantly surprised at how naturally the mixed putty blended in with the color and finish of the vinyl flooring. The measuring guide tells you exactly how much putty to mix with the number of drops of each color and the color guide matched the flooring perfectly. The putty is smooth and mixes well. The only thing I noticed is that the set came with a beige putty base and I would have also liked a white tube of putty to mix with the grey parts of the floor. It has a smooth appearance and doesn't looked patched.

Color matching not as easy as it looks, small fixes...Color matching not as easy as it looks, small fixes might work but I wouldn’t attempt a big lenoleum fix, hard to make a smooth surface because drying reduces filled repair and I had to do the process 3 times to get level amount and color was wrong after putting on laquer coat.
