I purchased 1 box to examine for color and quality, and to test cutting for the purpose of a kitchen backsplash. They were the MSI 3 X 6 Caramel Color. These would be pretty, however I do not consider them to be good quality, and I doubt I can make a nice, durable backsplash without a lot of flaws, because of the following: They are a clear glass with a coating on the back that gives them the color. I can't tell if the color coating is some kind of paint or a baked-on porcelain type material, but it chips off easily. The glass itself chips quite easily also, as I discovered when one which I had set on the granite countertop and against the wall tipped forward. It didn't fall very hard, I mean they are only 3 inches wide, but the corner chipped right off. I attempted a few cuts with a tile saw (it is a good wet saw with an almost new diamond blade). The results were poor. I was unable to cut these without chipping the color off quite badly along the cut, whether I cut with the face up or down. I could cut a groove in the glass and break them, but they don't break evenly, and often still got chips in the color which I believe would be very visible flaws when installed and grouted. If I were to attempt scoring and breaking these tiles, I believe that color chipping off, uneven breaks and lots of waste would be the result, although I admit I didn't try. I am looking for something else.
