Worthless finish
After selecting this flooring for its so called beauty and structual integrity I accomplished complete installatiion of a dinning room, living room and hallway in just 3 weekends. I was delighted with the outcome until life happened. Thats right just after as little as a week the floor started to look distressed. The wood itself was fine but the finish was worthless. My two kids plus my doberman seem to put the finish to the test and guess what KIds and dog won floor zero. The finish scratches very easily and if you should spill something on it like soda or juice its history. I called and talked to a Bruce representive and the answer I received was about as worthless as their finish.I am ashamed to have company come over. For the price and the effort to install I would suggest looking else where for flooring. Perhaps unstained flooring and a do it your self staining and a heavy gymnasium varnish is better for a family setting.

Looks great - Subpar qualityI installed the flooring last week. It looks great, the quality - well that's a different story.
First off, while the manufacturers site claims "North American hardwood is grown in the Northeast and around the Great Lakes." The product is actually "Made in China". The wood is supposedly birch which has a janka rating of over 1200 comparable to red oak. I can tell you that either the ratings are wrong or this is really soft wood. You can permanently deface it by pushing your thumbnail into it. During installation I had a 24" piece of wood standing vertically, it slid down the wall and hit the floor. I now have a nice several inch long straight line indent from where it hit. I'm not sure where the fault is but I'm pointing the finger at the finish itself. The topcoat/clear coat is extremely thin.
Another problem is the length of the woods included in the box. The description says random, but it is not. There are 4-11.5" pieces, 4-13.5", 1-47.5", and then several each of 21.5, 23.5, 33.5, 35.5 (sorry, I don't recall the counts of each of the 21-35" pieces but I believe it was between 2 and 4 of each). My biggest problem here is that 25% of the box is 12" pieces. For a thin stripped floor (ie

Either Poor Product or Very Bad Install by Home DepotThis floor was Installed by Home Depot Sub'contractors it is coming apart at the seams.When contacting Home Depot their answer was it was a problem with the house itself not install or product,what more did I expect them to say. I had another floor installed in same house by another Big Box Store same time not one single problem. Would not suggest purchasing this product.

Beautiful Floor!!The flooring was exactly as the sample from the store. Excellent quality (I took a piece around to different flooring stores) and the delivery time was fast. The floors are installed and they look great. So far I have no complaints.
