Plank length is totally random and varies based upon the yield of each tree. The aluminum oxide finish provides more abrasion resistance than ordinary urethane finishes. Vintage floors may contain naturally occurring light and dark wood colors plus grain variations. Our flooring is proudly crafted in Tennessee from responsibly harvested wood. This product is horrible! Installers (20 years experience) said this is one of the worst flooring...This product is horrible! Installers (20 years experience) said this is one of the worst flooring he has seen, it can't be installed. The milling is awful. I am now waiting to see what Home Depot can do about getting me flooring that can actually be installed. DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The color also has huge dark streaks as well, most pieces do not look like the ones pictured.

Good QualityI would give it a 5 star but the supplier shipped me two different factory runs so I had to be creative in the placement due to the color variation. So Make sure to have HD make notes to the supplier when you order that you want all the same run. This may delay your delivery date.

Good for vintage flooring lover.The arrived maple floor color is slightly darker than the picture itself. It is low gloss paint so it won't shine in your room, but the width and color variations are very little. The maple wood and paint seem to be very hard, as I compared to my red oak pre-finished floor from homedepot. I can see this maple leaves lighter cut than that on the oak, if I use my nail to cut the paint or the wood back. So, it is safer for an office roller chair to sit right on the floor without the need of a pad. On the other hand, looks it has more pranks with wood nodes than I expected. But I put most of those into the closet instead.

Good floorIt looks great! Contractor said only minor issue was not all pieces are completely straight at the ends which means you may have some small gaps in between pieces. All in all, a great looking floor for the price, it's real hardwood, AND you don't have to smell polyurethane for days/weeks on end. He installed it and we moved the furniture back in later that afternoon.
