The NuMax S50LSDH also comes equipped with a dual handle design - use the short handle if you prefer to kneel during installation, or quickly attach the extended composite handle to save your back while standing. I was very happy with this nailer at first. It is the first flooring nailer I've ever operated, and was very easy to use. Unfortunately, on the second bedroom, it started leaking air. We were able to finish, but I'm sure my compressor wasn't happy. Afterwards, we took it back to Home Depot.

A lot of bang for your buck with this oneI just got done doing a small room using this nailer. I wasn't able to really put it through its paces by doing a large project, like an entire house, but I think I have a pretty good idea as to its performance. It performs very well for something in this price range. The nailer comes with everything you need to get started minus an air compressor, hose and nails. it comes with a rubber mallet for firing, all the allen wrenches you will need, oil, and 2 base plates. The installed plate is for 3/4" flooring and the other is for 1/2". I am not a professional so I didn't want to spend $500 for one of these and I'm glad I didn't. This worked just fine. The only reason I dropped one star is the work involved in clearing out a jamb. This happened to me twice and was probably as much my fault as the guns but it is time consuming to clear it out. Maybe this is standard on these nailers, I really don't know. If I could have given it 4.5 stars I would have. I have no doubt this will handle whatever job I throw at it. The elevated handle is great, once you have a row started you don't have to be on your hands and knees the whole time. Although I don't have any previous experience with this brand I would recommend this to anyone who has the need.

I used the L-Cleats and was very satisfied with the end results.

Good quality nailer/stapler. Includes weighted mallet. Included 1/4-in. NPT metal air plug saves time and a trip to the store.The Numax nailer/stapler comes mostly assembled, requiring attachment of the top handle, which installs easily and without tools using the included brackets. After assembly, and a quick read of the instruction manual, having prior experience with using a flooring nailer, I installed a small section of 3/4 x 3-1/4 Bellawood Brazilian cherry pre-finished solid hardwood flooring. The instructions are well-written, detailed and contain useful illustrations and information. An assortment of Allen keys are included to make necessary adjustments to achieve correct placement of the cleats and staples. The magazine action is smooth and cleats and staples load easily. I lubricated the nailer using the include oil prior to use and experienced no jams although a few light hits of the plunger did result in cleats not being completely driven into the flooring. The quality of the include weighted mallet with non-mar white rubber head and wood handle is good, and comfortable, but it lacks a non-slip rubber grip. The head of the mallet is weighted, allowing you to get a good hit on the plunger to drive cleats and staples with less effort. This nailer is lightweight, so you don’t get as fatigued by moving it around the work space, and is very versatile in that it’ll accept 15.5-gauge standard staples or 16-gauge "L" cleats, in length ranging from 1-1/2- 2 inches, at an operating pressure is 70-115 psi. Magazine capacity is good at 100 L and 90 staples. In addition to a mallet and 1/4-in. NPT metal air plug, the nailer includes a 5/8"-9/16" and 3/4" base plate (3/4" pre-installed). The quality and ease of use of this nailer/stapler is comparable to others I have used, however most do not include a NPT air plug, which saves time, money, and a trip to the store. I especially like the dual handle, which as far as I knmow is unique to this nailer, giving you more than one hand-hold option. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this Numax nailer/stapler and recommend it. It performs as well as floor nailers costing twice the price.

Nice LightWeight Heavy Duty nailer !!!!At the price of this tool its worth buying, rather than renting...A look on the web shows avg rental cost about 40$ a day.. 3 days rental and this is paid for. Its a nice lightweight quality flooring nailer. I just finished laying 500 sq. ft. of red oak and this tool performed flawlessly. Not a single jam or misfire.. will drive cleats as well as staples. And comes with templates for most any size flooring.. comes with oil, wrenches and accessories including 1/2 inch air fitting so it is ready to use right out of the box..
The handle comes off with 2 plastic nuts so you can use it either way or just make it smaller for storage. This is a tool any homeowner, DIY'er can pickup and learn to use without too many problems and would work well for anyone from DIY to PRO.... At this price, you wont be disappointed,,and will have another nice tool to add to your collection

Maybe I got a dud but within the first 100 cleats my nailer developed a leak under the bump head....Maybe I got a dud but within the first 100 cleats my nailer developed a leak under the bump head. I oiled it before I used it. Home depot was nice enough to take it back so i spent a few more bucks and got a different brand. Don't want to knock the brand though I do have a finish nailer from them that works great.

Worked great! Did 200 sq. ft. bedroom. No problems at...Worked great! Did 200 sq. ft. bedroom. No problems at all using Bostich 15-1/2-Gauge 2-Inch staples.
on 3/4 prefinished oak from Home Depot. Took 3 days so paid for itself.
Next time I do a room, I will hire an assistant then progress is more satisfing.
