Excellent, Cost Effective Solution!
First rule of natural stone - seal often! When you fail to seal grout it gets discolored and no matter how hard you try, it will never look clean again! This product works very well! Application was easy. My technique was to replace cap with an elmers glue pop too. Apply a fine bead in the joint and then use a small 1/2” brush with a dabbing motion to stipple the edges of my chiseled tile. Gravity and the porous nature of our sanded grout smoothed and soaked in the product whose consistency is like latex paint. The color blended well with the original linen colored grout so I really only needed to do this in the high traffic areas. After a day, the color difference in adjacent untreated areas blended to treated areas nicely. Clean up is with water and is also easy. Here is a pic of treated (lighter color) next to the dirty dark stained area- what a difference! And then a pic of a completed area.

Looks Like a New Floor
Bought this to test out in our master bath since it is the only separate room with tile. Our house is 11 years old and the tile throughout the house has a dated look. To me the dark grout with offwhite tiles created a checkerboard effect. After using Grout Renew, it looked like a different floor. I used Antique White and it took a little longer than I anticipated because I tried various methods to apply. Ended up using a nozzle cap on Grout Renew bottle and putting little drops about 1 1/2 inch apart and spreading it with a soft toothbrush that I had cut off half the bristles lengthwise. This minimized the spreading onto sides of the tile. It took less than 1/5 of the bottle to do about 65 sq ft. I will see how it holds up over the next few months and if still looks good, will tackle the rest of the house. The tile in the rest of the house is all adjoining, so once started, there is no going back. Lesson Learned: I have had both knees replaced so will use a good pair of knee pads next time.

My wife and I recently had a new tile backsplash installed in our kitchen. We selected an arabesque tile, which has a unique shape, and wanted to make sure that the grout we picked was dark enough that the shape of the tile would be visible.
Unfortunately, once installed, the grout we picked ended up looking WAY too dark, as if someone had traced the tiles with a magic marker. We hated it and were extremely disappointed.
I called our contractor back and asked if there was anything we could do to make the grout lighter. His only suggestion was to re-grout the tile entirely, which would be prohibitively expensive – he estimated it would cost twice as much as installing the tile initially!
With no other options, I looked around online and found this product. We bought a much lighter color and tried it out on a few tiles behind the stove, not expecting it would make much difference.
To our surprise, it worked amazingly well! So we recolored all the grout in the kitchen and are now both very happy with how it looks. Because it actually soaks into and stains the grout, it doesn't look like a layer of paint on top – it just looks like the grout IS that color. You would never know!

I bought Snow White color, which is slightly off-white. I love what this stuff did for my bathroom floor! It took two days and will need a second coat for even coverage. My tiles are small, 2.75" so I couldn't use most of the tips that I read about and viewed on youtube's tutorials. I have a bottle tip from hair coloring that fit this bottle perfectly. Squeezing out a few drops at a time, then using a thin artist brush to rub the paint into the old grout seemed to work. Eventually, wore the bristles off the brush. The colorant got on the edges of the tiles and I had to use my fingernails to rub/scrape it off. I plan to use this in a second bathroom where the tiles are 12" and that should be an easier, faster chore. Very happy to have found this product and HIGHLY recommend you give it a try if your grout looks a bit nasty. Lighter grout really brightened the area.

Never thought it would really work
My husband and I purchased a 3 year old home. The master bath has beautiful white tile with not-so-beautiful white grout. I purchased the snow white grout colorant from my local HD just to try. I also purchased a bottle with a roller applicator designed for grout sealer in hopes it would make my application easy. Our grout had been stained from dirty feet and shoes by the toilet, both sinks and in the entry. I have cleaned the grout lines many times before but because of hairspray and dirt I cleaned them again - with no success in making them look new. I let that totally dry and then applied the colorant - WOW - looks like new again. I used the bottle to apply the colorant and then, using a toothbrush, brushed the color into the grout. I did small areas at a time and let it dry before rubbing the excess off the tile. I LOVE this product. I am looking for other colors so I can do the rest of grout in my kitchen and other baths. I just did this yesterday so the true test will be to see how it does over time.

Looks like new!
I bought this to renew the grout in my kitchen. It really makes it look like the floor is brand new. I used #10 Antique White. As others have stated, this is NOT an easy or quick solution. It took me about 10 hours to do a 300 sq foot area, and my knees and back were about to break. Two days later I'm still hurting! But the result was amazing and I still have about a quarter bottle left after all that work. A few tips: do not waste your money on the grout applicator (a squeeze bottle with a brush on top. It is too wide for normal grout lines and ended up making more of a mess. I abandoned that and went to a toothbrush which was faster. I would suggest using a baby toothbrush to minimize the wiping you have to. The wiping was the worst and most frustrating part. One reviewer said that you can wait and wipe afterwards but I was too nervous that that the product would not come off.
Overall, this product has amazing results, goes a long way and is a great price. If you don't mind a little hard work I highly recommend it.

Excellent cover-up for ugly grout!
We had travertine tiles installed in our bathroom several years ago. I selected a grout that closely matched the color of the tiles (beige) because I don't like grout lines. The contractor didn't tell the tile sub about this & we ended up with white grout. I thought I could live with it but I have always hated the way it looked. Plus it was an ongoing mess with mold only on the grout. I only give it "average" for ease of installation because it needs to be applied precisely. But that is not a flaw in the product. You will be more successful with application if you have experience applying nail polish and eyeliner! I used a thin brush and wiped off the excess as I went along with a paper towel wrapped around my fingernail. I love the way it looks and it is antimicrobial - so far no problem with mold. In the photo, I have painted the top half and you can see the grout is still white in the bottom half. I like the softer look of the matching grout.

This product saved our project
After we finished tiling a backsplash in our kitchen (travertine mosaic with antique white grout) we realized that we had chosen a grout color that didn't complement our tile as much as we'd hoped (we should have gone with the recommended linen color). The grout stain has allowed us to both color and seal the grout to the shade that we should have used initially.
Thankfully we had sealed the travertine with several coats of sealer before putting it up. It has been a little trying to stain the grout lines and wipe off the excess before it begins to adhere to the surface of the tile. I can only toothbrush on about 4" to 8" at a time and then wipe the excess off carefully. But it sure beats being stuck with the wrong grout! The manufacturer suggested spraying some windex on a cloth and wiping down the surface after 10-15 minutes to make sure that any remnant color wouldn't cloud the tile. It's slow going but it looks great. And now, as it's done, it's done.
