Great floor and beautiful
We purchased this floor based on the fact that it is made in the USA and comes from Tennessee and is 100% wood. No MDF or HDF. We purchased enough to do an apartment/game room over our garage as well as the stairs leading up to the area. We had planned on doing half wood and half carpet. After receiving the first shipment and installing we decided it was beautiful and have ordered enough to finish the entire room in the wood. It has beautiful colorations and is not too light. We put down 600 sq ft of flooring without any difficulty.

Not happy with this product overall.
I have installed 5 click type floors and this one was by far the worst. All the others were a different brand. While the appearance when finally done is great, the actual installation was a nightmare. This was caused by the slight warpage of the flooring strips that made it extremely difficult to insert the tongue into the groove completely, especially on the long pieces. The manufacturer claims this is normal and should not affect the installation. They are wrong. Once one piece does not align correctly every piece in that area there after will be troublesome. Some pieces I had to alter, cut the tongue off completely, or nail down, thus killing the "floating floor" concept. This floor took 10 times the amount of time to install than it should have. It was a very frustrating process. I will never buy from this manufacturer again.

No better than cheap plywood
As a commercial property owner I have installed 6 floors prior to this purchase. I made the decision to purchase this floor thinking the solid wood construction would provide strength and a more sturdy feeling floor. Unfortunately, this floor is so difficult to install I never got far enough to see if the floor was any better. Right out of the box I was concerned. The surface layer was rougher than other floors I have installed. Felt like there was fine dust in the oxide layer. I'm not sure what is meant by "scraped" but the boards had little or no grooving like in a hand scraped floor. The boards felt and sounded like cheap plywood. I spent 2 hours attempting to get the first three rows completed. The "click"connection milling is so tight it was very difficult to set the boards. When done with the first three rows there was a slight bow to the finished product and the boards would not completely set. I became so frustrated, I went to another store and purchased a different floor. I finished the 400 sq ft project three hours later. Had I stayed with this floor I think I would still be installing it four days later. Taking the product back. Do not purchase this floor.

Still satisfied after two years...
We installed over 1200sqft of this product and nearly two years later we are still very satisfied with the results and quality. The wood tongue and groove joints were definitely not "snap" together and required a mallet and block to smack together. Other than that, they were simple to install, had very few flaws (maybe a gouged edge here and there) and have held up excellently with three kids and two large dogs.

Looks really beautiful when it was all finished!
The floor is beautiful! We got the Scraped Vintage Hickory 3/8 x 4-3/4 Engineered Click Hardwood. It is ALL WOOD. Some of the cheaper floors are particle board with a thin layer of wood on top. The Hickory is beautiful and matches any furniture color. We have a large Labrador Retriever and so far it isn't getting scratched. The beauty of a light floor is that it won't show any little micro scratches like a dark floor will. Hickory is also one of the hardest woods in flooring we saw. They have a hardness rating for hardwood floors and this was right there at the top. The installation went well. We put it down in one day. It takes two people. One to pick out the boards and make sure they will all look nice together and one person to do the actual labor. :-} Be careful when cutting the boxes open, we scratched two of the boards with a knife and had to use them as our cut ends. The boxes had a nice variety of colors, you will want to open more than one box when you start. We had seven boxes and one or two had mostly light colored boards in it. So you can do a little mixing and matching. If you are careful with your cutting, there is very little waste. It took a little while to get the hang of putting it down. The first two rows took a fairly long time but the rest went down a little more quickly. We watched a few videos online to get an idea of how to do it. We used pine quarter round to finish it off. It is a fraction of the price of the coordinating hickory trim and it is almost a perfect match to the floor. You definitely need the tapping block and the pull bar tool. Do yourself a favor and buy the ones that are individually priced (the professional ones). They are a few dollars more than the box set. We made the mistake of buying the box set. They were not as heavy and you need to pound on the block and the bar to seat the boards. The block cracked almost right away and by the end of the flooring installation (12 x 17 feet) the pull bar was all bent up and ready for the trash. The spacers are almost worthless as they just want to pop out of the space you put them in. We used cut up wooden stakes as our spacers. Our bedroom looks so beautiful that now I want to do the hallway and the other bed rooms. We are very happy with our floor purchase!

Flooring look wonderful with excellent contrasting colors. Have already got numerous gushing compliments on how the floor looks in my home. One of the 6 boxes I ordered contained mostly shorter lengths so watch out for this. It's really not a big deal since to stagger the flooring you need shorter lengths but that box was slightly disproportionate.
Overall, highly recommended. Easy to install and it looks wonderful!

First time user, The first 3 rows took a bit of time but after that it was easy with great results. Few splintered ends and warped pieces and @10% waste due to cuts is normal. Anyone can do this!

This was the worst flooring I've seen. the click part was shredding and the veneer was paper thin and looked and felt like plastic. Hard to establish it was actually wood. This product is truly awful and suggest HD not carry it. Oh,, the scraped was hard to distinguish from the flat boards. Even the store folk couldn't discern the difference.
