I purchased this product to match the Pergo Southern Grey Oak laminate flooring I installed. The color and pattern of the steps matched the Pergo brand flooring, but there were major issues with the Cap A Tread laminate bubbling up (see photos). Practically every piece I received had some laminate peeling away the MDF base. It's possible I just received a bad batch, but that doesn't reflect well on Cap A Tread's quality control. I returned all the steps and decided not to take another chance with them.

Quick and easy installation, all you need to do is measure, cut and glue down. These are definitely the best option we have found to re-do any stairs from carpet. These appear to be made of sturdy, durable laminate material that will hold up well over time. We have dogs up and down these stairs all day long and I have no worries at all about these being too slippery for them or developing any sort of scratches from their nails. This is such a beautiful color too, especially if you're going for more of a grey wood look. Our stair remodel turned out beautiful and we've gotten lots of compliments.

We purchased two of the cap a treads with the...We purchased two of the cap a treads with the side return. We installed the first one and upon opening the second found the end piece to be damaged. It was returned to the store and a new order placed. Today we received the replacement to only have it damaged also.

The steps look good and we were able to custom...The steps look good and we were able to custom cut each one. Unfortunately the surface is smooth and our laminate flooring has a natural, textured wood look. They are also VERY slippery so I had to cover each one with a carpet tread.
