The Standard Lam-Hammer Model #550 Kit is a professional tool that makes the installation of interlocking floors quick and easy. It virtually eliminates damage to walls and cabinets, reaching easily under toe-kicks and other low spaces when installing the last board in a row. It applies its full force horizontally to the board to be moved unlike the pull bar, which requires using a hammer at a downward angle. This downward blow can cause damage to the board, leaving a dent in it. The Lam-Hammer prevents such damage and provides for the proper installation for years of enjoyment.

This Lam-Hammer is great!
I'm a home owner and I saw the reviews of this product and because I'm installing my first floor I decided to give this tool a try and it worked great even for a novice like me. I like not having to use a pry bar and appreciated the extras as well. I was wondering how I was going to install flooring under my dishwasher, this tool solves the problem. I would recommend this tool for anyone installing hardwood floors. Don't start a project like this without one!

Great purchase for the flooringThe slide hammer is excellent for tapping laminate flooring together nears walls. It is a great alternate compared to the hammer and striking bar. It makes the task allot easier and also prevents any damage to the laminate flooring surface.

The tapping block was used constantly and spread the impact of a hammer blow. Shims were just the right size. Did not need the extension for this project, but may use it for follow-on work.

well made but clunky and expensiveBought this to put in some laminate click flooring. First time putting in flooring so i wanted all the help i could get. The Lan Hammer had good reviews so we went for it, even though it is $105. Mistake.. The tool is very heavy and not easy to use on the thinner laminate. Maybe it would work better for hardwoods but not laminate. Wound up buying a rubber mallet to do the floors. Essentially i spent $105 for a tapping block, also, for the price they could provide more spacers. Disappointed overall
