Absolutely not as advertised. I was shown a "sample" in store that appeared to be 100% memory foam. Based on that, I ordered it for my new carpet installation. The product I received was totally different. Not even close to being 100% memory foam as it listed in the description. Mostly a mix of various recycled foams with a little bit of yellow filler in between. I'm guessing this yellow filler foam is supposed to be the "memory foam." I've pulled out hard plastic pieces, chunks of styro-foam, and even clumps of paper. Not consistent at all. Hard in some places, soft in others. Lot of support in some areas, very little in others. I thought I was buying 7/16 inch of memory foam. What I got was a small amount of yellow foam literally mixed with trash. Wildly disappointing. Not what as advertised. Would not recommend. Never would have ordered if I had seen the ACTUAL product in store. I've contacted my local store and they are looking into it, but so far nothing. If you want something premium, go for a nicer option. If you want recycled junk foam, there are cheaper options.

This Padding Has Issues!After spending thousands of dollars on quality carpet and supposedly quality padding, I was horrified to be walking across the carpet with no shoes on and have what felt like a rock jab in to my heel and drop me to my knees. We further investigated and discovered many, many, many hard spots under the carpet. When we called to compain, the issue of hard lumps within the padding was mentioned. In addition, when the installers came back out, they seemed to know that it was the padding and hard material issues. After pulling back the carpet, the installers cut out many hard lumps of foam to include the one very large lump. The installers told me that when they install the pad, they try to catch the hard spots and cut them out now because they are having serious issues with complaints of lumps under the carpet. I personally can't imagine these hard lumps being good for your carpet over time and have serious concerns with this padding. We are currently fighting to have it replaced and will not buy this for our next carpet upgrade.

Feels greatWe got this installed in the basement and basement stairs. It feels just right, not too hard, not too soft. From the pads that Home Depot will install, this pad was the only one to pick that is listed as being breathable. I think this is important so moisture won't get trapped under the pad in a basement.
All pad at home depot seems overpriced to pay for the low installation cost they charge. But I believe that the total price for the pad, carpet and install combined is very competitive.

Second Time Around, and Any Time in the FutureThis is the second time we have used this product. We were extremely pleased with the previous use, and will always come back to this product. The pad is durable, it lasts, and the price is right!

Really like my new carpet and the install team did a great job but this carpet padding is disappo...Really like my new carpet and the install team did a great job but this carpet padding is disappointing - doesn't feel like there is much padding at all under the carpet and there are a lot of hard lumps. Just not happy with this padding.

I paid over $5 a square yard for this padding which is a complete waste of money. It feels horrib...I paid over $5 a square yard for this padding which is a complete waste of money. It feels horrible, has no memory and is prices 3 times as much as superior products available.
