Good Value and easy to install
I looked for a while before selecting this hardwood. We were putting over concrete and so needed engineered wood. The price, hardness rating, 50 yr warranty, and ability to float or glue combined with the mid to dark tone is what sold us on this product. Free delivery by Home Depot was nice too.
We glued some around foyer and doors, and floated the rest. Definitely firmer with glue, but is more costly for supplies and labor. The float portion is fine and feels more like normal walking over wood would feel.
The click lock is tight, but we soon learned you have to tap it in slightly before it lays flat.
problem with the transition pieces is you can't buy them online at Homedepot so I had to go to store and it took 2 weeks to arrive.
We have a dog, and he doesn't scratch the wood at all. need to put felt under everything though for furniture
I hired someone at $2/FT and recommend to do that if you use glue. Lot of back breaking work that I avoided was definitely worth it.
can't go wrong with this product. I laid approx 1000 sq ft for under $7k with wood, supplies and labor

Good Product Good Value
I purchased the Hickory Dusk engineered hardwood for just 133 square feet of area. I really like how the flooring looks. It has a richness to it, and I've had a lot of positive comments. I would buy this product again. Now for the ease of installation, I found that many of the boards were warped but would eventually fit. However, what I discovered is that a tapping block would be helpful, but traditional blocks would not work. I created my own with a small piece of the flooring, I used one of the damaged planks and cut off a piece about 8 in in length and then cut off the receiving end (female end). Then with a couple of taps the flooring planks fit together perfectly. I used a small power miter saw, a jig saw, a laser level, tape measure, and hammer. There were about 8 damaged planks in 7 boxes. It turned out great! Now if I can install the floor, I think that most people can, I am a 63 year old, over weight female.

Awesome flooring
We bought this to cover 300 sq ft in a combo living/dining room. We used 13 boxes (with almost the whole box left over in the last box). We had a lot of diagonal cuts at the end, which used up more boards. My husband installed it and said it was "beautiful" as far as installation goes. It was tight-fitting, but this is what you want, he said. He did use his tapping block the whole time to fit the pieces in. I think there are 16 boards per case (14 or 16?). There are 22.5 sq ft per case, which is different than what Home Depot advertises in the description (they say 20? sq ft). We did this floor in about 2 full days of working. If we didn't have all the cuts at the diagonal, we would've done it faster. The boards of this maple flooring are definitely not consistent in color. Some boards are lighter with a different pattern, some are darker and quite rustic-looking. If you want a consistent, uniform floor that looks like the same color and pattern in each board, DO NOT BUY THIS FLOORING! We, however, did not want the consistent look throughout. We like the variation. It gives the room character. I'm attaching a pic of our room. We installed some Dupont walnut laminate in our old home (also sold by HD), and I like this maple flooring so much better. It looks so much more authentic (although we liked the walnut a lot, too).

Love the color and “the look”. My entire home is this flooring except one bedroom. I don’t like it in the kitchen or high traffic areas as it shows every water spot and scratch.Very high maintenance in those areas. Would look for a more durable product next time.

Not for heavy traffic
Very pretty looking BUT scratches and dents very easily. Definitely not for heavy traffic.

Easy to install, great flooring
We installed this flooring in our bathroom and the natural red oak throughout the rest of the house (approximately 2200 sq feet). The product is super easy to install, just a rubber mallet, chop saw, and miter saw to cut around doors/jambs etc. The first two rows are the most difficult because you have to glue the first row and then snap the second row into the first row. I don't know why anyone would say that it is difficult to install. I am a 48 yr old woman and did two rooms by myself. The only issue I had was cutting around door jambs but then I just asked my hubby to do that ;-)
A really important thing is to open every box you are going to need because they are random pieces. I didn't have any issues with the maple, but w/ the natural oak I did get a bunch of boxes that had small pieces (i.e., between 16" and 27") which makes it difficult to get the 12" span between the seams. Also, make sure your floor is super clean and level otherwise it will creak. That is the only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

Beautiful Flooring
We bought this flooring to replace carpet in a three-season porch and are very pleased with the result. Our place was built in the 1920’s and has been renovated a few times, so nothing in the room is flat or plumb. We chose a floating system because it was the most forgiving of odd room dimensions and temperate changes. After shopping around we chose Tarkett because of the quality of the wood veneer. It was much thicker and of a better quality than the other engineered wood choices. We also made sure to use a high quality underlay material and can happily report that the floating floor looks flat, square and doesn’t squeak or creak. Other reviews mentioned problems with the click system. But we found that installation become a lot easier once we glued the first row of boards together and get a few rows snapped in. It does take a bit of patience to get a feel for the snap and lock process but it’s a lot easier than other methods and didn’t require us to buy or rent other tools. We’re recommend this product to anyone in a similar situation.

Just don't walk on it and you'll be fine.
We had used another manufacturers floating engineered wood floor product before so choosing to use a similar product like this Millstead Maple Natural seemed like a good choice, NO! it was NOT! The product is easy to put down but that is when it all goes wrong. We don't wear shoes in the house and are very careful with the floor so I am amazed at how easily it scratches. The flooring we had used before was almost fourteen years old when we sold that house and looked like new. This floor is five months old and is already showing major wear in areas. I would swear you can scratch it by looking at. If we were not going to sell this house is two years I would rip it out and leave at Home Depot's front door. The hardness rating is a joke and the finish is terrible. I called the company and was told that "all wood floors scratch"... not like this floor. This floor would be great as long as you never walked on it or look at it the wrong way! Steer clear of Millstead.
