Pergo XP Kona Acacia Laminate Flooring has a unique tonal grain pattern with an authentic smooth texture, providing subtle characteristics unlike any other design. The color contrast within this flooring provides an extra layer of enhancement for added visual appeal. The 6-1/8 in. wide plank design gives the appearance of real, exotic, genuine hardwood. Each plank is produced with a 4-sided milled beveled edge to enhance the plank definition. Pergo XP Kona Acacia with PermaMax Surface Protection provides double the wear, double the durability of ordinary laminates. XP products are AC4 rated, approved for general commercial traffic; suitable for your home, office or other light commercial applications such as boutiques and hotel rooms. This rating was designated after being tested for resistance to abrasion, impact, staining and cigarette burns. ScratchGuard Advanced provides superior scratch and scuff protection. The patented click joint makes installation quick and easy, providing a secure fit. Each plank is 10 mm thick with an additional 2 mm of attached underlayment. The limited lifetime residential warranty and 5-year limited light commercial warranty guarantees the top layer against wear through, staining or fading. Wear claim compared to standard AC3 laminate flooring and measured in accordance with NALFA/ANSI LF-01-2011 and/or EN13329:2006+A1:2008. California 93120 Phase 2 Compliant for Formaldehyde.

Not worth the money
I am very disappointed with this product. It was insanely hard to install, and that is putting it nicely. It took at least three people to make an attempt. We used four people for one portion and we are now spending hours trying to tap the planks together the rest of the way. There are 1/16-1/8 inch gaps randomly around the 15x16 room. The color we chose is pretty, but the planks end up with just enough of a gap between them to catch all of the dust pieces and look dirty. We watched no less than 10 how-to videos from Pergo and other DIYers, read I don't know how many write-ups about how to do it right and still had nothing but problems. We have previously used traffic master, which was super easy to install, only took one person. This stuff was nearly 2x the cost and has been nothing but trouble. Not to mention one entire box was marred with glue on the plank faces and another looks as if it didn't go through the entire assembly. I will never purchase a pergo product again.

I was very disappointed with this product. Approximately 25% of...I was very disappointed with this product. Approximately 25% of the boards in the boxes were not finished product. Some were totally white with no finish at all. I initially ordered 10% more than needed just in case, and it was not enough. Had to reorder, wait 2 more weeks, and pay installer again.

The finished product is beautiful, easy to work with. Definitely...The finished product is beautiful, easy to work with. Definitely get a quality tapping block, puller, and rubber mallet. For me the tapping method is superior to snap locking. I dislike shoe molding, so remove your baseboards and reinstall, much more professional.

Love the Pergo XP products. This is the second home I have installed it in. It is very easy to in...Love the Pergo XP products. This is the second home I have installed it in. It is very easy to install with two people, it clicks and locks together and you just need to tap everything into place. It's incredibly durable. I have two dogs and in our first home they never managed to scratch it after several years. I am currently installing this specific flooring (Kona Acacia) in my new house and am loving the way they look. Dark but with lighter grains so it doesn't weigh the room down. Definitely get the tap-block so you don't damage the pieces while knocking them in place. Also make sure you install perpendicular to floor joists and leave 1/4 gap around the outside of the room (cover with quarter round/ trim-molding later) as this is a floating floor and needs a bit of lee-way for expansion/ contraction.
I would definitely recommend Pergo XP products for their ease of install, durability, and looks. They're gorgeous floors once installed.

I am extremely disappointed in this product from Pergo. I have ordered Pergo flooring before for ...I am extremely disappointed in this product from Pergo. I have ordered Pergo flooring before for my basement remodel and a Condo remodel and was very pleased with the product. This product however has caused more work then the previous two installations combined. I have ordered enough flooring to cover 2000 sq ft and I have only just begun the project.
Negatives:
- I have to clean every single board as there is a glue like substance and residue. This stuff is sticky and does not come off easily so far many hours of wasted time scrubbing boards.
- there are at least 1-2 bad boards (scratched, discolored spots, etc) in every box I have opened so far and I have 120 boxes. (I have been able to cut and use portions of these board so far, but I an highly disappointed and have stopped my project. Thinking about returning the whole batch.

First, let me start by saying that I think the Kona Acacia is a great color that Pergo has to off...First, let me start by saying that I think the Kona Acacia is a great color that Pergo has to offer.
That being said, I ordered a pallet (60 boxes) to install in my living room. Upon delivery, which was a nightmare on it's own, two boxes were visibly damaged. I kept them aside, and brought the every other box inside from the curbside. I let them acclimate to my home temperature for about a week and a half. When the weather allowed me to, I began installing the flooring.
The reason for the one star review is because in each box, there was at least one plank that was damaged. There were two full boxes where every single plank had visible scratch marks in the same spot on each plank. There was also a sticky substance on many of the boards, that I had to clean off. Because of this, I essentially had to thoroughly inspect each and every board, then clean them before continuing the installation. This made the project get dragged out much longer than it should have taken with a Pergo brand product. Out of the 60 boxes, I have around 20 boxes filled with planks that I simply couldn't use because of the damage. I went to my local Home Depot store, and was told that I could not return them, since I purchased them in a pallet (this somewhat made sense). However, I was shocked when they wouldn't allow me to exchange them for the same product. I mean I thought an even exchange would be reasonable.
After all that effort, I'm left with 20 boxes that are useless. I have contacted both Home Depot Online and in the Store to no effect. My next step is going to be contacting Pergo directly. My last resort is to now purchase 20 more individual boxes, and just toss out the defective ones. I'm extremely unsatisfied. It's a shame too, because the flooring that I was able to install looks beautiful... But I was only able to install 1/3 of what I purchased. After decades of loyalty, I hate to say that I will never shop with Home Depot again.

I had an experienced floor guy install it and he just finished it yesterday (Jan 15, 2018). Now I just need to know how to clean it!!
