Pergo XP Reclaimed Elm is a multi-width design with interesting paint and distressing marks. The soft toasted grey brown color is accentuated with amber undertones. The all over ticking with satin finish gives a subtle gloss to the surface. Installation is quick and easy using the patented click joint technology while providing a secure fit. This product features a limited lifetime residential warranty and 5-year light commercial warranty which guarantees the top layer against wear through, staining or fading. This was my first laminate floor install. Location was a second floor den. I also bought the Roberts install kit which contained a plastic block, a metal corner/edge tool and some spacer wedges. It went down fairly well after some adjustments in technique. The wedges are supposed to space the flooring off the wall, but since most sheetrock is installed with a 1/2" gap between bottom and floor, they were worthless. The block and metal tool worked well, just be careful not to be too vigorous tapping in the cut pieces as the ends of the board will mush. As for the floor itself, I expected the laminate to be a little thicker, like Formica- it's not. It does come with a foam backing so you don't have to lay out a sheet before starting. This particular product does not have a pattern repeat so you need to lay out the flooring first to get it the way you want it, don't just pull it out of the box and start hammering. Comes with a Lifetime residential warranty. Made in USA.

Installed In a Teenager Bedroom, Time will tell how it holds up, however right now it looks grea...Installed In a Teenager Bedroom, Time will tell how it holds up, however right now it looks great, I had no real problems installing it considering it was the 1st time I have ever installed a Pergo floor. I purchased one of those install kits with the plastic spacers, Tapping block and pry bar. In my opinion the tapping block and prybar are an advantage but skip the plastic spacers and use scraps of the flooring. The Plastic spacers get stuck and are difficult to remove. The scraps of flooring were easier.
