Unison 2-in-1 Underlayment for laminate and engineered wood flooring is designed with 3/32 in. polyethylene foam for cushioning and a 2 mm thick top film to protect floors from harmful moisture vapor. Designed for on- or above-grade applications, it's easy to install with a plastic overlap and adhesive strip to join multiple rolls. Unison's foam construction also reduces everyday surface noise.

Great Price, Good Product
Why pay more for gimics? This stuff worked great, helped to dampen the sound and gave noticable cusion. Its actually pretty tough stuff. The trick to not getting rips is to lay the underlayment as you go. Unroll a strip of underlayment, then the floor till your almost to the edge, then unroll another strip of foam, work some more floor. That way you don't damage it when your trying to get traction when pushing the flooring together. I see photos of people who lay all their underlayment down first and then complain about it ripping when they are installing the flooring. Hope this helps someone.

Underlayment at the right price and qualityI used this underlayment in conjunction with black 6 mil moisture barrier, for laminate flooring. Roberts under-layment does provide 2 mil moisture barrier which should be adequate for most non concrete sub floor app- lications. My kids enjoyed laying the underlayment. The finished floor feels and sounds nice. I would suggest buying some regular duct tape as well. It is rather easy while installing your laminate to inadvertently scratch and puncture your underlayment.

Good DealI recently put laminate flooring in my entire house and I used this underlayment in the bedrooms and dining room. I used the more expensive black jack product in the heavy traffic areas including the living room and I hallways. I can't tell a difference when it comes to the level of noise or cushion. I regret paying the extra money on the more expenisve product and I'm definitely glad I didn't do my entire home with it. The more expensive products are not worth the extra money you pay. I know from experience.

GREAT VALUE!!!I just installed this underlayment in my front bedroom and had no problems. This is a very good product and a great value. It went down with no problems. The seams sealed perfectly to form a nice seal over the entire floor. I would highly recommend this product and plan to use it again in the near future. I see absolutely no reason to spend a huge amount of money for an underlayment and this product proves my point.
