It "looks" like it should be a good product.... you see the black and think it looks like serious...It "looks" like it should be a good product.... you see the black and think it looks like serious tough stuff. In reality, this stuff is garbage. I've used less expensive stuff (blue) that was waaaay better quality. This tears easily, squishes easily and doesn't pop back (like if you leave a hammer on it overnight, that shape is indented there in the morning and takes a couple days to pop back. I bought this online (sight unseen) because it was a big roll and that seemed easier than buying small rolls and piecing stuff together on my longs runs. That part was convenient, but I wouldn't buy this again. It wouldn't surprise me if the weight of the flooring were squishing it down flat and rendering it useless...I don't even want to know, considering what we spent on the flooring and how long it took to install it all.
Go to the store and TOUCH the different underlayments before you buy. I'd rate this about a 2 out of 10 for quality.

Highly RecommendGoes down easy, thicker than most products I saw at the store, has attached adhesive and moisture barrier. Only downside is I wish they rolled it the opposite way so it could be rolled and cut while laid in place. We laid one piece at a time because other reviews said it could tear easily and had great results. Comparable to the premium underlayments found in the store but for a MUCH better price.

Worked well! Was a little tricky to attach back...Worked well! Was a little tricky to attach back to itself due to the edges being a little overstretched during packaging. Also you have to be very careful with corners of the flooring you are installing, it can very easily rip the padding. Overall I would use it again and recommend it.

you get what you pay forIt is cheap, and barely survives installation. Dont think of it as a moisture barrier, as it tears when you look at it. I should have spent more on a better product
