Excellent tile, easy to work with
This is natural stone marble tile. With natural stone tile, you will get plenty of color variation, some chipping on the edges, and inconsistent veins and or other imperfections - this is natural stone tile - can that be stressed enough? Now, with that being said, the beauty of natural stone tile is all of those things. It's not supposed to be 100% uniform and perfect! If you want 100% uniform and perfect, purchase a ceramic or porcelain tile that was mass-produced in a factory somewhere, not a tile that was cut from a rock and polished!
We used this tile along with a mosaic to tile the backsplash in our kitchen. The tile was easy to work with, and turned out great. It cut very well with my wet saw. When setting natural stone tile (on the wall in our case) make sure to put the adhesive/thin set on the wall, as well as back butter the tile itself. This assures the adhesion of the tile to the substrate. Clean off all excess adhesive as you go to make grouting time easier and faster.
I had no variations in thickness of the tiles, and I installed 19 packs of these tiles. I also just set the tiles as I pulled them from the package, mixing the darker colored and the lighter colored in a random pattern. The visual effect is awesome, I have gotten a lot of positive feedback on the job. I used Bone" colored un-sanded grout with a 1/16" spacer. As you can see in the pictures, it is a perfect match. I love my new backsplash!

Uneven dimensions, lots of color variation
The dimensions, including the thickness was uneven. We bought about 5x what was needed in order to match the color; color ranged from light pink, light beige, dark beige, light grey. Too much variation. The finish also varied from matte to highly polished. We took it off the wall after getting the project about half finished.
But Home Depot was great about it. Also we arranged the installation thru HD and the installer has also been great about the re-do.
