Water Testing
I'm concerned about moisture and possible water issues in laminate, but love the look.
I have a few months to make a decision but wanted to share a test I have been doing with the sample piece of this Jatoba laminate.
For a month now I have used the sample piece as a drink coaster. No signs of any moisture are evident, despite seeing condensation dripping down the core and tongue and groove connectors..
I'm not saying laminate isn't susceptible to water and you shouldn't have reservations about it, you should be concerned. However, in my test I see nothing different about this sample from when I brought it home. With so many concerns over water and laminate it's a bit more resistant than I expected given that water is its main downfall.
Next test, what happens when I stick it in the dishwasher? How many times till I see water seeping into the core. Science and homeowners need to know, lol.

love the new floorI bought this floor after searching for a long time to find the right wood look for my foyer, hallway, and office. This floor really fits the bill. Friends that have come over are impressed with how it looks like the real hardwood boards. Installing was, at times, difficult, and took a while. It took about 9 hours to do the office, with a closet about 142 square feet. Now that it is complete, it is fantastic. Boards shipped had some damage, scratches, and bubbles. We ordered a second time to get extra to finish the job. Return was simple at HD store for items we didn't need. Thresholds were hard and we found the t-style threshold worked best into rooms with laminate, vinyl and carpet. We didn't use any reducer styles, and did tack down the ones that meet frieze. A little putty covered the tack holes once we counter-sunk them. Overall, this product gives warmth and polish to the rooms and hope it stands the test of time.

Absolutely stunning!We had this floor installed by Home Depot and by the time it was over, about 14 hours for 1200 square feet, my wife and I just stood there and said "Wow"!. It's been about 2 weeks now and we are very happy with the floor. It seems very durable, has resisted scratches so far, and is easy to clean. I would not recommend using a microfiber sweeper. We used one with laminate cleaner and it made the floor look dull and left streaks. So far the best method to clean them has been the use of a regular towel with your choice of laminate cleaner, it's also a pretty good leg workout, but this method left the floors shiny and spotless.I highly recommend this wood laminate.

Great FlooringI had this installed throughout my entire home (had home depot professionally install it). Everyone who has seen it cannot believe it's not hardwood flooring. The color is just fantastic, for me, it's not too light or too dark. It does not scratch easily (I have two cats that constantly tear around the house and you can hear their nails digging in so they can run around) for which I am impressed; this was one of my biggest concerns. The boards come with padding installed under each board and so far the noise factor is not a problem. I use a laminate floor cleaning product that home depot sells and it is a breeze to clean.
So far I am thouroughly impressed.

beautiful flooringI am giving this floor a 4 star review because it is beautiful and I love the look of it. We have only had it down for a little over a month so I can't attest to the wearability. It is in an upstairs spare bedroom which is rarely used and since we have no pets or small children, I am hoping for a long life. The only issue we had was the installation as it was definitely not a snap and click - it took several pretty hard hits with the mallet to get it to go in the groove. As a result, we have three or four small knicks which I am hoping will not be an issue down the road.
We have had Wilsonart laminate in our downstairs kitchen and dining room for over 10 years and it is still as beautiful as the day we installed so I hope this will wear the same. I will post again in a year or so as to the durability. As I stated, it is a beautiful floor and I am extremely pleased with the look of it.

Pleasantly SurprisedMy wife and I had been shopping for laminate flooring and found samples at our local Home Depot. The price and quality looked really good and we needed to decide on the style. I regulary get emails from Home Depot with promotions and the flooring that we were looking at was one of them! They actually offered a more premium style that wasn't in stores at a great price so we decided to order it blindly. It is a very nice product! And the shipping was free too! Great price, great look and a product backed by a 50 year warranty? What's not to love!

HL89I did install this on 3 of my bedrms. They look and feel very good. Make sure you have right tool to do the job like table saw and saw to cut under door frames. It is easy to install, you need to do some pushing and pulling by right hammer to get it lock. It took me about ~8 hours to do one room.
