Love the tile but don't make these mistakesThe tile is beautiful. It looks and feels like wood. The tone is right. The variant patterns are lovely. My installer used 1/8" spacers despite my mentioning that I wanted very tight spacing. He told me that it would make the floor stronger. Another worker told me that the tile tapered up from bottom to top and that the spacing on the bottom was 1/8" but slightly larger on top (where you see the grout). I was unhappy about that. I really wanted it to look like wood. I feel like the grout lines are too wide.
Home Depot recommended "Light Smoke" as the grout. It is the right color but it is very light. I think over time, it will get dirty in some areas and stay light in other areas and I'm not sure how that will look. I wish I would have picked a darker grout and insisted that the installer use smaller spacers.
However, it really does look lovely. It was a bit of a risk to go with the reclaimed wood look. We did the entire lower level - all 1,000 square feet. In such a big space, it works really well. The overall color tone is a nice taupe color which is just what I wanted. We were going to go with Rustic Bay but I am glad we switched. I have no idea how I will feel 10 years from now but honestly, the demo only costed us $550 so if it really goes outdated, I can always bust this floor out.

nice, a lot of broken tilesVery nice design on the tile. The problem was even though i bought over 100 sqft extra i still had to buy more because so much was broken when i got it. Definitley have to handle tile standing upright instead of laying flat. It is very britle otherwise.

I love this floor! I was s nervous about his particular color but love it!When my husband and I first picked out this tile I was in love with it. I had 25 yr old Berber carpet in my house that had to go! So picking my flooring was a real big deal for me! I had been dreaming about new floors for years. At first I wanted wood but I knew I'd always have pets & decided it wasn't a good idea. I thought about the wood look vinyl planks.. Finally decided to go with porcelain tile. After I ordered this tile I began to panic.. Had a made the wrong choice? Would this be too busy of a pattern.. Would it be cold in the winter etc etc. I worried would I grow tired of it after a few yeas?
So I've now had it just over a week, the first couple of days I was still not completely sold. By the 3rd day I was totally in love with this floor. It was such a change for me and we used it in the kitchen, living room, hallway and bath. About 1000 sq ft. As my family came home for the holidays and had great reactions I realized even more how great it looked. Everyone commented on how great it feels underfoot. It's actually not cold as I expected. Definitely nothing like ceramic cold! I don't think I will grow tired of this flooring.
We used the Fusion grout in Tabacco color. The tile installers said its a great grout that holds up unbelievably!

Very beautiful finished look from this tile. Its a modern/rustic collision that is just perfect....Very beautiful finished look from this tile. Its a modern/rustic collision that is just perfect. m There were plenty of unique patterns to keep the tile install random looking. They also look like real wood with textures and all. Those are my two fears with plank products but these tiles do not have those issues.

Excellent purchase, Very Happy!The tile looks awesome! We have had many compliments. Most people think it is reclaimed wood and are surprised it's tile. It hides dirt well, which will be great with a black lab and kids. The tile went in fairly easy (husband is pretty handy DIY'er). Some of the tile broke on the precise angle cuts. The 4 star value ratings is based on the higher price of the tile which I attribute to the "popularity" of the look. I feel it is a great tile but comparable to similar tiles that are priced a tad lower but are not the "newest fad". Overall happy with the purchase!
