Screws damage laminateThis tapping block works OK, not great but OK. The worst thing about it is that the two screws that hold the handle came out and damaged some boards before I noticed it and replaced the screws with longer ones. The whole design of the block could easily be improved.
If you screw a handle to a piece of 2x4 you have something that probably works better and is certainly cheaper too.
