Henry 542 Liquid BackerBoard is a Portland cement based self-leveling underlayment. It is the fastest and easiest way to prepare wood floor for the installation of ceramic tile. It smoothes wood without the need for lath mesh. It can be used over concrete surfaces and radiant heated flooring.

There is no self leveling compound that is good enough to apply to a wood floor and be suitable for tile. It has no bond strength and it becomes brittle. Good luck with this overpriced carefully named product. If it was only called self leveling compound and not the "liquid backer board" would you have been so attracted to it?

Much easier!!!I tried this leveler over a wood sub-floor instead of cutting backer boards since I had many profiles in my kitchen. And I didn't feel like screwing down over 300 plus screws into my sub-floor. After this dried smooth and level in approximately 6 hours I was ready to lay my ceramic floor...what a easy way to by pass all that extra prep work. I was done with my floor in less than two days.

Great product!This works much better than the self leveling cement that's sold in the store. With a little planning and the help of a friend, we managed to mix and pour 4 bags in 10 minutes. A knock down knife (HD sku 226285) did a great job of helping it spread in my little 30 sqft bathroom. Make sure that you follow the instructions on the bag and prime the wood subfloor with the Henry primer. This video does a great job of explaining the process. https://youtu.be/o1R5xcHTrbA

This works really well. I followed directions and the...This works really well. I followed directions and the floor turned out great. Poured on wood subfloor after patching and priming, over heated floor mat.
Make sure all holes are filled, and walls tapes well. I missed two little spots and lost some through the floor. Used patch to fix loses.

Not only would I recommend this product, I plan to use it again to level the master bath floor. It was easy to mix, and easy to pour. I checked for level after 4 hours of drying, and the floor was level in every direction. I only wish this was carried in store at my local HD, or at least was offered with an option to expedited shipping.
