We had the flooring installed just over a year ago. The flooring does not hold up well to everyday use. Any minor drop of a cell phone, kitchen spoon or coke can leaves a dent or scratch.
We have a six year old who is constantly dropping toys, or electronics (ipad with a case). Every mark is visible.
The floors look beautiful, but they do not hold up well. Being a dark color does not help either, it magnifies all the scratches and dents.

Really good and even finish. High Quality flooring. This product needs to be glued down and it is relatively thin (5/16) so your underlayment has to be solid, level and clean (this part is unforgiving). Make sure you have cooling / heating / humidity / protection from elements and allow flooring to acclimate a few days prior to install. Use a high quality adhesive (otherwise you will ruin your flooring job). Do not force the floor pieces together otherwise you will end up with a bubble/hollow spot.. floor needs expansion space. Takes patience and clean work. Results are phenomenal. Any corners cut you will end up with a bad job.
So far I installed almost 6,000 sq ft of this type flooring over last 18 months. Alternative... 3/4" nail on flooring, sanded / finished (about double the price for 2nd grade, triple for select).

floors were great...only concern is: the only transitions pieces are "off brand" and the stains do not match. Bruce flooring should manufacture these pieces to match!

Nice Looking Floor
This has a better grain pattern than engineered oak floor, and will be able to be resanded someday if we want to refinish it. I've installed both, and this has more strength than engineered if something is dropped in it. It amost exactly matches some solid oak flooring we had resanded and refinished last year. However, this is pretty expensive flooring compared to alternatives, even 3/4 prefinished.

The product was what I suspected, good quality with a lot of “old school” thrown in. It’s comforting to know that the product still exists and we’re not bound to precut 4’ pieces of wood. Unfortunately the width and color were not a match. Please make available samples less than 40 sqft.

During our remodel, we removed a peninsula and were left with a 2' x 1' patch of old vinyl in the middle of our kitchen. We were looking for flooring that came close to matching what we already had. We took a gamble and ordered this Bruce flooring. Turns out is it the exact same flooring. We removed some of the old boards that were cut straight so we could just weave the "new" planks in. It worked like a charm. The new planks are the same color, but we did notice that our old flooring is darker due to dirt and grime. Nothing a good DEEP clean won't fix. We planned to replace the floors one day with plank looking tile, but we read that this floor can e refinished once in it's lifetime. We are thinking about just re-finishing them ourselves. The tongue and groove is high quality and slides right into the old floor. Glad we took a gamble. We are very pleased with this purchase.
