The flooring is nice. Nowhere near as equally stained as the photo sample suggests. It has knots and a slightly uneven stain which seems to be a strong finish. The narrow boards and tight tongue / grooves take much longer to install than many wider plank floors. Also, no nosing available for stair

Very impressed!!We just installed this product throughout our entryway, kitchen and dining room and could not be happier! I wasn't sure I would love the look of the narrow boards but they are perfect in our space. The beveled edge and the natural character of birch give it a very rich and wonderful look. The installation is slow becasuse the boards are so narrow but the quality of the wood was very high and we had little waste. We have put a few dents in the floor already but nothing more than I would suspect with most wood floors. The finish has been pretty scratch resistent so far and has held up nicely to our dog. The color is a light to medium golden brown. I highly recommend this product!!

I bought 26 boxes of this to install in our 440 square foot great room. It is slightly darker th...I bought 26 boxes of this to install in our 440 square foot great room. It is slightly darker than the pictures, but I was happy with the color. I wouldn't call the color "gunstock", however, but more of a spice. There were very few boards we couldn't use. Most that had a defect could be cut and used as an end piece. The price was very good for what you get. This was the first time my husband and I installed hardwood floor (or any floor!) and we found this wood easy to work with. We installed the floor on top of Aquabar B and plywood under that. It does scratch and dent easily, but that might be normal for hardwood flooring finish, I'm not sure. We didn't open 4 of the boxes, so we took them to our nearest Home Depot for a full refund, no problem. The employees even helped me get it out of my car.

Its easy to work with and the shipping was faster than promised. It was my 1st experience with birch, have always been an oak girl but so far I have been pleasantly surprised!

Good DealI ordered 30 boxes of this hardwood flooring this is a good value at $2.99 a square ft when the shipment arrived at my local Home Depot I checked the flooring since they did not have a sample in the store the flooring looked very good but the color was a little darker then it looks on line the finish was good I also took a piece of the wood and I wanted to see if it scratched easily I scratched a section with my keys and it left a scratch mark. All wood will scratch eventually so I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars more. If the color was a little lighter I would of kept it and installed in my home.
