The stair tread was 1/8 thicker than the LifeProof vinyl plank flooring it was supposed to match with. This created too large of gap between flooring and the top stair tread. I returned this product and went with the Zamma stair nose molding. I would have preferred a smooth transition instead of the Zamma nose tread molding, but Cap A Tread didn't match the flooring. Cap A Tread was good quality but not appropriate for floor/top stair applications.

Overall the stair treads look great and were easy to...Overall the stair treads look great and were easy to install. My complaints are: the pattern does not vary much Each one has the same identical knot printed on the lip of the stair. One stair tread with a return at one edge arrived damaged. It was a nuisance to recut it and this tread was expensive.

These Cap A Treads really added a nice touch to...These Cap A Treads really added a nice touch to the new vinyl floor we had installed. They matched the floor perfectly and transitioned our old carpet covered steps into something beautiful. The Comany, Zama Corp was outstanding as well, aiding in a time constrainted project by expediting delivery.

We ordered a single sample of the Spring Hill/Essential Oak color to evaluate before we committed...We ordered a single sample of the Spring Hill/Essential Oak color to evaluate before we committed to redoing our entire carpeted staircase. The tread was high quality and in excellent condition, but the color was extremely pale, nothing at all like the photo on the Home Depot website. We returned it and are ordering a different color as a sample. So glad we didn't trust the website photo!

The item was in good shape, but the color was...The item was in good shape, but the color was nothing at all like the online photo. Not even close. Had to return and try another color. The lack of any in-store samples really is a problem, my stairs need to be redone but I am stuck ordering a sample at a time until I can be certain of color.
