Comfortable
I really enjoyed using the Thigh Support Stabilization Knee Pads (TB-KP-3). They do feel bulky compared to other knee pads due to the design but the benefit that comes from that design far outweighs the bulky feeling. When I initially tried the knee pads they kept sliding down my legs. What I learned is I should not have adjusted the straps to make them longer for my thicker thighs. While it seemed like that was the right way to put them on, one really needs to stretch the straps so they grip tightly on your leg. The joint moves smoothly so there is no binding as you walk or kneel. I find the lower platform that lifts the shin makes a significant positive impact on comfort. Usually my feet and toes cramp while I am kneeling but the shin lift platform reduced that significantly. The product appears to be rugged but I wonder how long the straps will last being stretched for each use. The shell that contacts the ground scuffed pretty easily while on concrete but better the product than my knees!

No more sore knees!
I have used many types of knee pads over the years and have always been in a search for the perfect pair. I am not in construction so hadn't tried any made for tile work.
My job involves a lot of floor cleaning and kneeling while grooming dogs. These are heavy duty and work well. Unfortunately, I have skinny legs so they slip down. I'm tying to retrofit them with more Velcro now.
As far as comfort when kneeling, these are great. They cushion well when seated properly and I don't feel like the cushion will flatten out quickly like other knee pads have done. And you can easily slide across the floor on them to change your position.
The one con would be that after about a week, two of the joint bolts came loose and fell out. Luckily, I found them and screwed them back in. I'd advise tightening all bolts once a week. This is very frustrating. No matter how many times they are tightened, the bolts still come out.
If you aren't wearing jeans (I usually am in shorts) they can bruise you a tad on the top of your shin but that may still be from them slipping down on my legs.
I DO recommend buying a pair though. So far they seem like they'll last much longer than any others I've tried.

Good Knee Pads
I’ve tried a lot of knee pads in the past and returned them because they never stay in place and often rotate around my leg. These seem to be much better. I still feel like they don’t stay exactly where they are put but that is probably hard to achieve when you walk around. I wasn’t sure how they go on first because there were no instructions. I thought maybe you have to thread the strap through the buckle which didn’t seem to work anyway. As it turns out you just clip the yellow part into the hole on the side and then just attach the Velcro and tighten up the straps. They look really cool and seem well made. My only concern is will the yellow clip wear out after constant attaching over a period of time? I’ll find out when I get to use them more.

Great Knee Savers
Like others I have tried a number of cheaper knee pads that were disappointing. These things are without a doubt the best solution I have found.
The hinged design with a strap above the knee does keep them from sliding down. The hard shell protects the knee very well and keeps pressure off the knee cap. They are quite large and seem bulky for a while. It takes some time to get used to wearing them because when I kneel down it feels like I'm quite high off the floor. They are somewhat slippery on a hard surface like hardwood but did not leave any scuffs. Perhaps a simple piece of duct tape would help this, although have not tried it. Other versions of the companies pads solve this but I really like the hinge and fasten above the knee concept.
In summary:
I highly recommend these and wish I skipped all the cheap stuff and purchased these first.

knee pads to make you look like you have polio
Been to the store to look at knee pads? They don't have these! Why? They would out sell all others on the shelf. Read the previous reviews. Straps are long, could fit a monster. Allen bolts for the swivel are not coming out on mine. You can drop to your knees with out worry. They don't slide around.
Here in the west, those who wear shorts will find the knee pads interfere.
The straps around the back on the upper tend to "roll" over on themselves due to the sewn on edging. This can be very irritating to those of us in knee pads all day. You must be very careful when putting them on to avoid the first layer of strap folding over next to your skin. And sooner or later in the day you'll have to go back and reattach them there due to irritation. Gel is good so far after two weeks.
And these are CHEAPER than the junk that's on the shelf! I have gone through 6 sets in short order of the dewalt, McGuire-nicholas ect...
