These are not those inexpensive knee pads you've seen around and used before. The TOUGHBUILT GELFIT Kneepads are comfortably padded. Until I got these I have been using ordinary foam pads and can feel the difference. They come with a large elastic Velcro strap for the back of the pad and two smaller Velcro straps on each side to adjust the fit. I can work longer without feeling fatigued and having to stand. They also have optional pad covers not included they call Snapshells for working on different surfaces. The Snapshells have varying degrees of hardness. The pads fit well, didn't slip once you get the straps right, but they do get hot from all the padding. The gel is minimal and focused on the spot where your knee rests on the floor; otherwise, its mostly made of foam with a tough cover material. There are plenty of kneepads around, this is one is one of the more comfortable ones, large sized and reasonably priced.

I am 6' and 195 lbs, but this is too big to easily make the Velcro attach properly. Should work ...I am 6' and 195 lbs, but this is too big to easily make the Velcro attach properly. Should work great with medium to wide knees, but not if you are narrow at the knees.

I bought a pair of these last year when I started a full time job as a flooring installer. The 3 ...I bought a pair of these last year when I started a full time job as a flooring installer. The 3 different snapshells you can get are great, and the pads are pretty comfy. The rubber set is especially great for doing LVT/VCT/Hardwood. However, I bought a second pair online recently and when they were delivered to my Home Depot, the button on the edges (where you attach the snapshells) were... manufactured wrong I guess you could say? They weren't pressed into buttons to snap on to, they were just little metal posts. Not sure if that means that they changed how the snapshells attached or if I just received a defective pair. Hopefully the latter because if they changed how the shells attach it means the extra sets of shells at my house have now become useless and as I ordered them a year ago I won't be able to return them...
Haven't ordered another set yet, but if I do I'll be sure to update this review.

Great product. Completely unreiiable service from Home DepotI ordered these for a flooring project because the other ratings were so high and was not disappointed. Compared with another comparably priced pair sold in-store, these were infinitely better, providing better, more comfortable fit and a lot more padding. Can't beat the quality for the price. (They were so cushy, my father stole them and appreciated how well they padded his arthritic, 70-year-old knees)
While the product is awesome, Home Depot's shipping for online orders stinks. When I placed the order, the system said they would be ready for in-store pick-up within a week. They didn't even end up shipping them until a week later. If the project hadn't gotten postponed, these would not have arrived in time. I highly recommend these knee pads, especially if you can purchase them somewhere else.

Larger than I expected. Gel is well padded and comfortable. Straps give the impression that the...Larger than I expected. Gel is well padded and comfortable. Straps give the impression that they will stretch out eventually. Not sure why this is the case, but most of the knee pads I have used experience this issue where the elastic is not durable to withstand being stretched tight for long. I am hoping the elastic lasts longer than most, but time will tell.
The big issue with these is the snap on covers. The snaps are terrible. The covers are very very hard to snap on and when you do get them attached there is a gap between the cover and the pad and when you kneel down the cover flexes and unsnaps the snaps that you just spent 5 minutes snapping and you have red/sore thumb and fingers to prove it.
I like the concept but I am hard pressed to recommend them.
From all the reviews I read - the older ones reviews are great but the newer ones complain of the terrible snaps so I wonder if they made a change to the design of the snaps - for the worse.
Not sure how they would last without the additional cover - but might be worth trying as I think they would work a lot better.

Comfortable Knee PadsThese Gelfit Knee Pads are at a great price point and work better than I had expected. I have used these pads on hard laminate floors and my knees felt like they were resting upon comfortable pillows. They felt great. The inside of the pads are filled with a gel and the outside is made with a rugged material. Each knee pad has a detachable non-marring durable plastic shell that can help protect you from sharp objects you may kneel upon unawares. These plastic shells are pliable enough to flex as needed. The Velcro straps have pull rings sewed into them to allow the straps to be unloosed easily. Knee pads can be used with or without the protective shell.

My knees thank GelFitI've owned a number of knee pad sets in the past, and none of them seemed to make any difference in how my knees felt at the end of a project. They usually provided next to no protection/support to my knees, or wouldn't stay in place while I worked (like on a tiling project.)
Enter the GelFits-- I can honestly say that after wearing them during my recent bath floor redo, my knees felt great! I was shocked. The cushioning was excellent, and after a bit of adjustment of the straps, the pads stayed exactly where I wanted them. I was so impressed with these pads, I might consider getting the optional Hard Rocker snapshells to go with them for my next project.
