The quality of the tile assembly was poor. There was too much space between the rocks. I have decades of experience working with rocks of all size: Rock walls, rock fireplaces, rock walkways, rock sinks, rock shower floors, rock birdbaths, rock fish ponds. I don't settle for 1 1/2 inch gaps in my rock work using large rock, let alone pebbles. So I disassembled each tile and set each pebble on waterproof/mold proof glue. I had to throw a lot of rocks away because they had rounded tops or bottoms and did not lay flat. Also all the rocks were not cut the same depth. I had about a 20% defect rate between these 2 issues. The manufacturer needs to improve their ability to get the pebbles closer together and make the pebbles more uniform in depth. The finished "my way" shower floor looks great and goes very well with the Travertine tile shower. It took hours longer to do it this way. Next time I will go back to using river pebbles for shower floors. If you do that, I recommend using a tthin set mortar containing a vinyl additive for waterproofing.

I installed these as shower pebble tiles over existing porcelain...I installed these as shower pebble tiles over existing porcelain tile so drain pitch was already established.The tiles went together without too much trouble although you need to have a little extra for filling in gaps along walls and you may need to remove some here or there so they fit together .
