I'm satisfied but not impressed
I wanted a rustic handscraped flooring, when I saw this at home depot I had to have it. This price was good and they were running a special on click-lock that was only $397 to install it!! Well when the installers went to install it there were dark stain smudges on almost every board. They brought it to my attention and they ended up calling the manufacturer who said that was normal and suppose to be there. The installers still didn't believe them because the smudge marks looked so unnatural and out of place, anyhow, I let them install it and the marks are less noticeable when all the boards are boards are laid out but the smudges do stand out drastically on some boards which looks like I splattered black stain... Again very unnatural looking even for a rustic board. As far as click-lock goes its a floating floor and I didn't expect as much give in the floor, in some areas it flexes a lot. If I did it again I would have went with solid wood. Overall it's ok, I'm not overly impressed. Also, the floor seems to scratch and dent easily.

We installed this product on our steps 5 years ago. It held up so well we did our whole house with it. My Wife loves it!My installer informed me that it was easy to work with. It looks wonderful and the pattern/color of all pieces are very uniform. We went with the cork underlay which was bit more expensive but gives the floor more cushion and makes it more quiet. I ordered enough flooring for 10% waste and because my installer was good (and the material was great) I ended up taking back $600 worth of material. Home Depot refunded my 15% restocking fee which was a surprise. My wife decided to buy some new blinds with the savings.

Forgot to mentionI forgot to mention in my previous review post, well this flooring says it is hand scrapped but I've seen laminate flooring with a better hand scrapped look. You can barely tell its hand scrapped and each board looks so unnaturally hand scrapped. Very disappointed with this aspect.

Disappointed from
Disappointed with color changeLast year we installed this flooring in our home and loved it. We decided to continue the flooring into another room and ordered more this year. The color, wood grain, and overall quality of the product are all drastically different. This flooring is a huge disappointment with the recent changes. Please note the color and wood grain shown in the picture above are from the old flooring.

second time aroundThe product looks pretty good. We installed a thicker version of the same floor a few years ago and I think the quality of the older product is better. The overall appearance is more uniform.

Expected a Better ProductWe purchased this product to replace the carpet in a large living room and two hallways; it was very easy to install and looked beautiful after we were finished. We did our homework prior to ordering the flooring and brought a sample home to test it before the purchase; we tried everything we could (heels, etc.) to test it and didn't come across any issues.
Our expectations were met until we started 'living' in the areas where it was installed. A remote control was dropped and it chipped the wood, a suitcase was rolled down the hall, and it left indentions (looks like tracks), anytime furniture (with felt pads) is moved another scratch appears, and it does not fare well with our pet (under 35 lbs). There are only two adults and a small pet living in our home, so there is minimal wear on the flooring and we have rugs in the places that someone would typically walk.
I called the manufacturer and explained our issues. I was told that dropping a remote was not 'normal' wear and tear on the product, nor was anything else that had happened through the course of daily living. Apparently the warranty is useless.
This product is beautiful if you don't 'live' in the space that it's installed. I have since purchased a box of laminate flooring and laid it down in a higher traffic area just to test the wear and tear; no scratches, much quieter, easier to clean, and 1/3 of the price.
This is the first negative review that I have ever written. I hope it helps others to make an informed decision. (I am not sure of the terms and conditions of posting, as they didn't load).
