Softer floor, but looks very nice and great price/product for a low traffic room.Initially when I looked at the flooring out of the box I was skeptical at its appearance. It looked fine, I just didn't know how it would look in our particular room. After installing, I can say I am quite happy with this purchase. You can see the attached picture of the final results in our roughly 15 x 15 ft bedroom. It looks way better than expected.
The only reason I give this 4 out of 5 is because the bamboo is definitely soft. If you plan on dropping or dragging sharp objects on this floor you will definitely scratch it (I dropped my hammer during installation and the metal part definitely scratched it). However, we knew this going in (home depot lists it as a 2 out of 5 on their hardness scale). The softness is not a problem for us because it is in a low traffic room (our bedroom) and we are careful with our furniture (don't drag it and cover feet with pads as extra precaution).
Anyways if you don't mind the softness of the wood it is a great price as well as good for the environment.
My dad and I did this over the course of 4 days (he has experience doing this in his house as well) so installation went smooth. Like with most hardwood, the color of the pieces varies from box to box slightly so make sure you pull from different boxes while you placing the pieces so you don't get to many off colors in one spot.
The only other thing I can think of that might be relevant is that I have not tried cleaning it yet. I am pretty sure with this type of wood a lot of moisture is bad for it (so don't think you should wet mop it). So I would recommend researching that and getting the correct cleaning product for this type of floor.

Dont waste your money!When I read that it was Bamboo I though "Super strong" This product dents at EVERYTHING. My 9 month old crawled across the floor with a toy in his hand and it left a line of dents where the toy had hit. Do Not allow high heals on this floor, you will be able to see everywhere they went. It is obviously a low quality product and not worth the money. I wish I had known before I bought this product but there were no reviews yet. The Warranty doesn't cover anything. The edges of the planks are beveled but not consistent. Some bevels will be much deeper and others will be shallower making the floor look like the seams are further or closer apart then they actually are. The smooth surface makes every mark stand out. Do Not Buy this product.

Great New Look but Shows ScratchesWas easy to assemble following the nailer instructions and renting the power nailer with the 18 gage 1-1/2" fasteners. It became apparent that marks were going to show on the floors when I cleaned the floors after install and small scratches were seen at locations where cords and floor scraps were kept. I tested the bamboo scrap pieces to confirm that the nutmeg finish side was soft, yes it is soft as i could create marked just by using my finger nail, however the back of the bamboo flooring pieces were hard and did not show the marks until using a hammer to lightly strike the bamboo. I would suggest using this bamboo flooring for light use areas or make sure to protect the floor with felt strips under furniture and strategically placing area rugs in high occupancy areas.

Excellent productThis product is easy to install. The square footage per box is accurate and you have little waste if measured correctly. We have put this floor in our entire house.

Mixed feelingsI installed this flooring in a house I was remodeling to sell. It seems as if there are scratches appearing out of nowhere. I wear socks on it almost always and there isn't anyone living in the house yet. Before I chose this floor I took a sample from HD and tried to scratch it with everything pointed that I could think of to see how durable the floor would be. I couldn't scratch it...yet after I install it I'm finding scratches daily. I'm very discouraged.

Very good floor solution for a beach house at a very good price!There was a little too much variation in color. You have to be careful that the installer makes sure you are not putting too many "light boards" or too many "dark boards" in clusters. if you mix them properly, you get a great result.
