Although thickness was specified for these white tiles, the colored tiles did not have a thickness specified so I had no advance warning white were thinner. Was unable to do the checkerboard pattern I wanted. These tiles damaged easily. Had to be shipped twice because of damage in shipping.

These are great, even for uneven floors as long as you heat them with a heatgun or torch so they can bend the shape without cracking.

THIS TILE DOES NOT MATCH THE THICKNESS OF OTHER ORDERED TILES.
THESE PARTICULAR TILES ARE A DIFFERENT THICKNESS THAN MOST OTHER TILES DISPLAYED IN THIS PRODUCT LINE, SO THEY DO NOT MATCH THE OTHER COLORS I HAD SELECTED FOR MY FLOOR. I NOW NEED TO RETURN THE "SPECIAL ORDER" AND WAIT TO INSTALL THE FLOOR.
WE HAVE USED OTHER VCT TILES IN OTHER INSTALLATIONS AND THEY LOOK AND WEAR GREAT.

Different Height
I wish I would have saw the other review. I ordered this tile as well as another color from the same line and they are different heights. I didn't even think about checking because they were from the same line (excelon). Bummer. Now I need to ship back and pick another color that will match my other tiles.

Height of tile (thickness) is more than advertised
It was the wrong thickness...we were trying to match an older tile that was truly 3/32 inch thick. This new tile was closer to 1/16th inch thick. Doesn't sound like a lot of difference, but there is a small ridge (step up) now compared to the older tile. Considering installation costs, I regret not looking for a better tile.

What were they thinking?
Same line, "standard" excelon imperial texture thickness is not standard. My attempt to match old flooring was looking good until the tile arrived. The color match was great for being 15 years later than the original flooring but, for "business reasons" the tile is 1/32" thinner than it was last time I bought it. To me, it would have made sense for armstrong to have renamed the new product line "substandard excelon imperial texture, or excelon II, or economy grade or excelon Lite or lo-calorie, fat free...... Just a tad misleading.
