This durable prefinished engineered click real maple floor is easy to install. Simply engage the long sides at an angle and press down. The flooring is crafted of five layers of solid wood permanently bonded together in a cross-ply design. No HDF or other fiber boards are utilized. The stability of this construction provides superior strength, humidity resistance, and installation options (glue-less, floating or glue down). The aluminum oxide finish provides 10 times more abrasion resistance than ordinary urethane finishes. Good stuff, read the instructions!
I will be purchasing my second pallet of this flooring very soon. Trust me, if the first pallet hadn't have gone well, I wouldn't be getting a second one.
It goes down VERY easily and looks great. I used a piece of scrap to 'click in' temporarily to tap on. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT tap on the finish piece. The edge will mash up extremely easily and it then becomes a nightmare. Can't stress enough to use a piece of scrap for tapping into place.
Also, if the board doesn't lay very flat, then it isn't 'clicked' into place properly. It will lay flat if it is fully engaged. Some of them take a little extra persuasion.
I also glued the short edges and that seems to help a LOT with ticking and cracking noises after it's all down. I just used normal Elmer's or Titebond wood glue. Just three or four 'dots' or a very thin bead is plenty.
Be sure to get in the habit of cutting the end of a course to fit and using the other cut end to start the next course. This cuts WAY down on the amount of scrap.
The instructions that come in the box are quite good and make sense. Read them carefully before starting.
For doorways, closets, etc, buy a hand coping saw. You can get some really nice edges around closet door plates if you're patient.
Did I mention to use a piece of scrap for tapping into place? I've attached a pic to hopefully better explain.

Good looking floorsThis was my second floor I"ve installed. The first was a glue down and I got glue everywhere. This time decided to go with the floating floor. This floor looks good, was easy to install, and had few defects. It's been down for a few weeks and looks like it will hold up well. I took the extra step of wood gluing the ends together for extra holding power. there was a good selection lengths and not much waste. I did use a hammer and scrap 2 X 4 to help with the "locking" process. All in all I would use this product again.

Ultimately, this product is great as it is strong, resilient and does not loose color nor does it...Ultimately, this product is great as it is strong, resilient and does not loose color nor does it experience shape warp. However, the only draw back I might share is obtaining 100 percent of the expected homogenous, beige, smooth-toned planks. Instead, of 24 boxes, one obtains 10-20% other shades, sometimes very dark and unexpected shades.
Moreover, the store's return policy is wonderful. Given the amazing appearance of the final floor plan, it's worth the effort to work with the outlet that we have! Therefore, with the store's full return policy, and knowing how to install it, I would fully recommend purchasing this product. It becomes a blessing! :-)

Looks nice very easy to install, but not very durableInstall is very easy, and looks good. scratches and dents very easily would make sure that anyone walking on this is barefoot. Since it is so thin it does have a tendency to make noise when walking on it.
