The Daltile Quarry 4 in. x 8 in. Diablo Red Ceramic Field Floor and Wall Tile is ideal for high-traffic residential or commercial areas, including kitchens, bathrooms, patios, shopping malls and foyers. The heavy-duty tile can be used indoors or outdoors and is abrasion- and frost resistant to help provide long-lasting use. The tile has an unglazed, textured finish that can complement many styles of decor.

- Grade 1, first-quality ceramic tile for floor, wall, and countertop use
- 8 in. width x 4 in. length x 1/2 in. thick

I ordered these tiles online to use inside a masonry cook stove (not in the firebox) so I was not...I ordered these tiles online to use inside a masonry cook stove (not in the firebox) so I was not particular about the appearance of the tiles. It took much longer than anticipated for the tiles to arrive so I was behind schedule. Three-quarters of the tiles arrived broken or significantly chipped. I only needed three-eighths of the tiles for my project so I used the undamaged tiles and some of the least chipped tiles.
The next day I took the rest of the damaged tiles to the local Home Depot store. I was told that since HomeDepot.com only sells them in case lots they could only be returned in case lots. The woman in the store was sympathetic and said she would help with some discounts on in-store purchases to make me right. Subsequently I called Customer Service at HomeDepot.com on a different matter and brought up the issue of the tiles. The woman said she could authorize a 50% refund on the case of tiles; I took the 50% refund and thanked the woman in the store for her offer. The process was a bit of a pain in the neck, but on the whole, I felt that Home Depot did its best to help me with the problem, however, I will never buy Daltile tiles again.

Good outdoor tileThe tile is consistent throughout the three boxes I purchased. It is a good idea to open the boxes and inspect the tile, I had some damaged tile due to shipping, and I didn't inspect it.
