Poor Quality Product----Hard to Believe for the Price
Ordered 500 SF for a living/dining room job. It was backordered but came in a little early (yeah)----about 3 weeks instead of 5. Unfortunately, we started installing and noticed the boards were cupped, bowed, twisted, and the milling was off (e.g., the ends were not square). Looked terrible installed. Our installer tore it all up and returned it. Ordered a new lot. 6 weeks later a new supply showed up and was even worse. Installer said you'll have to find someone else to put this down------I WON'T. 3 months without floors in my house---------obviously disgusted and going with a different product.
Bruce---I can't believe you're quality control lets those boards out of the shop. I won't buy your product again, and Home Depot should be embarrassed to sell it. Maybe we just got a bad batch---but two times in a row sounds like a QA/QC problem that needs fixed.

The flooring had a red tone to it and doesn't...The flooring had a red tone to it and doesn't look the same color as the same wood I had put down about 4 years ago. Also, my installer said some of the boards would not fit together properly. There are small gaps between the boards in some places that are not too noticeable but are still there.

Great FloorWe have this wood floor through most of our house for the last 17 years and it looks as good as the day we put it in. We have not done any repairs. We are now going to put in the bedrooms. It is also easy to install.

First Time "Do It Your-Selfer" here and it went greatEasy to install. My wife and I installed the entire living ourselves in a weekend. Came out great and looks awesome. Its only been in about year now, but we are getting ready to put the same flooring in another room now. I did have to buy a flooring nailer, But I looked and I can always sell it on ebay and get most of my money back. But I decided to keep it since we knew we would be doing more floors.

Exceeded expectations.I was installing 430 sq feet of new flooring and wanted a prefinished hardwood so that I didn't have to deal with the odors and sawdust and was pleasantly surprised by how good this looks installed. It's not "bargain wood" by any stretch. Good quality and fair value - probably a bit overpriced at $6.37/sq foot but I'm happy with the end result.

Be ready for some work! The boxes are heavy, you need to have 3 or 4 open to mix the wood colors up, and for some odd reason, Home Depot does not carry the staples needed to install this flooring. I had to go to Harbor Freight to get staples! In addition, there are some bends and cups to this wood - careful selection is necessary to have it align perfectly. Use the free samples to 'rack' planks. Install will not be a quick job if you want it looking great. There are some less expensive solid oak products to choose from - use this if you plan to live at least 25 years in your home (expensive!), as it has a 30 year warrantee. Good luck!
